"Wait up!" Alex yelled as he ran after me.
"What?" I snapped. I bit my lip. This was why I wanted to get away from him. My mood was bad.
Alex stood still and remained silent.
I huffed and continued on my way. If he wasn't going to say a thing then he shouldn't have chased me.
Suddenly, an arm appeared in front of me and pushed me against a wall. Alex stood in front of me. His pink eyes were radiating anger. Looking at them made my rage subside somewhat. It was as if he were absorbing it from me. Could he even do that?
"Alex," I said, averting my eyes.
"Shut up! I'm tired of you acting up like this!" he snapped. "Aren't we friends?"
I pushed him away and stepped forward. "I thought so, but you've kept secrets from me first!" I yelled. "At least you can read me like a book! Half of the time, I don't even know what you're thinking!"
Alex stepped back. "That's because I don't wear my emotions on my sleeve like you."
He took a deep breath.
"Sorry," he said, looking down, "for not being open. Most of the guys in my family aren't." He ruffled his white hair. "Think Nat's the only one. Hide and Sy hide behind their shells. Even Dan..."
"Dan?" I asked. Who was Dan?
