"Friends, huh? Not just Elliot?" Nat asked.
"What? You think that Elliot is my only friend?" I asked, leering my eyes. Not that he could see me. Perhaps I should've turned on the camera so we could live chat.
"He's not?"
I huffed. "Of course not. Don't you remember that I had a lot of friends back home."
"That was when we were kids. But I remember, Mr. Popular."
He had a point there. I distanced myself from all of my friends after what happened with Dan...
"Well, Mr. Popular her has at least one more."
He laughed. "That's great!"
I smiled. "Yeah. She's a bit of a goofball too."
"A girl?" Nat asked, almost in a teasing manner.
My face redded. I was glad that I hadn't opted for a live chat after all.
"It's not what you're thinking!"
He chuckled. "Why do you sound so nervous then, big bro?"
"Want me to hang up?"
"No! Don't it's been so long since we've talked!"
I smiled. "So, how has school gone for you?"
"Fine. That reminds me, I've been thinking of going to school there. I want to learn how use magic like you."
I gulped. Perhaps I would need to say what happened in the past couple of days.
