"I don't mind, but I don't work for free either," I said, grinning.
"I got a candy bar in my bag." He pointed at his bag beside the door. "Would that be enough?"
I laughed. "I was just kidding about needing to give me something. We're friends."
Jason's eyes widened and his lips curled into a smile. "You see me as a friend?"
"Yeah. Do you see me as one too?"
He ruffled his hair. "To be honest, I don't. But that doesn't mean that I dislike you or anything. Actually, I thought that you disliked me."
"Really? Why?"
He averted his gaze. "Well, you sometimes glare at me."
I blinked. "I do?"
He laughed nervously. "You've never noticed?"
I rubbed my chin. "Well, I thunk there was that one time... Oh, and in the dining room yesterday."
I frowned. I really did come off as antagonistic, didn't I?
"Sorry," I said. "I... tend to easily get jealous."
Jason crossed his arms over his chest. "Because of how close I am to Olivia?"
My cheeks warmed. "N-no!"
He laughed. "No use denying it. It's obvious that you like her as much as Alex and I do."
I grumbled. "Keep that up and I won't teach you."
"Sorry. I'll stop."
I grinned. "Alright. Let's begin!"
