Emperor Huang laughed. "Did you now?" He shifted his mystical-looking blue eyes toward Olivia. "Are you sure it wasn't for someone?"
"O-of course not! W-what gives you that idea?"
He snickered. "Probably the fact that you aren't one for dressing up nicely. You're usually wearing sweats and a simple shirt."
"I decided to change it up for once. A-anyway, what did you mean by you think you know what Xun is doing?"
"The books he's been looking into all have to do with the creation of a sky island."
"A sky island?" Olivia asked.
"I know that strong earth mages can make islands worth of dirt float high up, but is it even possible for them to keep them afloat?" Xulan asked.
Emperor Huang nodded. "Yes, it is. The founder of Xian did just that."
"Xian?" Olivia asked, glancing at me.
I smiled. "My ancestor was a strong lady. She created the island that would house our capital to keep it away from the armies below. It's so high up that few ever make it there on their own. Those that do are usually too tired to handle our guards. Not that they wouldn't be able to beat them at full strength."
"That's some smart defense. But, why would your brother want to make an island like that?" Xulan asked.
