So I had this idea for a minecraft fanfic. I was trying to think of an idea for a non-cliche minecraft fanfic that included youtubers, since I'd just read a book on here about cliches and wanted to think of something new.
Here's my idea:
As time goes on, minecraft keeps updating. (This is also the future, so virtual reality is the norm for video games) as updates go on, minecraft's worlds start to get more unified. Many seeds generate the exact same worlds. Servers run into each other. It's impossible to truly play single player anymore, something strange is going on and you always end up on an occupied world. This has been going on for quite a while. Mojang paid no attention, as if it was supposed to happen. As each update comes out, there are fewer seeds that even work... Now, with a only (number not decided on) unique worlds left, Mojang says that the next update could be the last. But there's a rumor going around that there's one ingredient missing: the master seed. The number which, if entered into the world generator, will generate the true minecraft world...
I did a horrid job at explaining but what do you think of it?
