I stepped out of the chamber, panting. I hadn't gone through the test without my fair share of scratches. Among other things, I had forgotten Derivative's trial of related rates. But despite those minor errors, I had sliced through the opposition with relative ease. Summation's trials seemed feeble, the order of Sigma falling without so much as a fight. As I exited, I felt looks of approval coming from beneath the hooded cloaks of the three elder guardians. It would be many months before I was told the result, but I had a feeling I had passed.
