I saw a story on here about a Pokemon rebellion thingy. I didn't really care but for some reason I feel like dumping a whole bunch of reasons why they wouldn't rebel here. Read only if you want to read fantheories XD (A lot of it is based on the show, but the show IS official, and so it IS evidence.)

1. Pokemon are NOT oppressed by pokeballs. They have less of a bearing on a Pokemon's freedom than you'd think. I know, Pikachu hates his pokeball, but think; was Ash even able to get him to go back inside? And some of the more powerful ones simply destroy the pokeball before it reaches them! If a Pokemon doesn't want into a pokeball, chances are THEY WON'T LET IT TOUCH THEM. Also, there are MANY Pokemon in the show that let THEMSELVES out. Psyduck, Oshawott, and others that I don't remember. If a Pokemon wants out, THEY'LL GET OUT. The pokeball seems pretty easy to escape judging by all the Pokemon that can get out. Pokeballs don't keep a Pokemon in, they just store them. And who knows? It might be nice in there!

2. Pokeballs are pretty much a formality. There have been multiple occurrences of Pokemon befriending children and having almost the exact same relationship with them as they would if the Pokemon had a pokeball. Pokemon seem to understand what a pokeball means, and when they befriend a trainer, they will often catch themselves FOR the trainer. They just see it as a way to make the partnership official.

3. Pokemon mostly don't fight back. I know, it's kind of horrible, but it's a reason that a rebellion wouldn't happen. Think about it, the only Pokemon that fought back from Team Rocket's experimentation was Lugia. Lugia is a legendary. It is secluded from humans. It doesn't know how humans behave and so acts like entirely like an animal.

4. Pokemon are more intelligent than animals. Watch the show. The Pokemon can understand human speech, and have a language of their own. They live in communities and sometimes even have houses. The only ones that truly act like animals have had little contact with humans. Pokemon are pretty intelligent. Maybe more intelligent than humans. What's to say they don't own humans? I don't really support that theory, but what if Pokemon stick around humans to expand their intelligence? It's kind of reasonable.

5.Team Plasma is an EVIL team. Their cause SOUNDS just, but is it really? They usually made Pokemon sad. They just wanted to stay with their trainers. Does that sound like rebellion material?

6. If they wanted to start a rebellion, it would've happened a LOOOONG time ago. Seriously. They can burn, electrocute, levitate, and a whole bunch of things that could stop just about any weapon on earth. A NUKE couldn't stop them. Do you really think Pokemon are under the control of humans? Or is it just an alliance or friendship? I don't think beings with that much power would take that kind of abuse...

7. Pack living. First I'd like to point out that Pokemon are one species. Two different Pokemon can breed and produce another Pokemon. There are many varieties if dogs, but they're one species. Dogs live in a pack, and think in a pack. You can have a dog that could kill you, but if you make it clear that you're alpha, (or higher ranked) it will respect you and love you, never thinking of rebellion. Pokemon, if you look at the TV show, live in packs. you'll find giant communities of Pikachu, Treecko, anything. I know with the way we're raised we don't like the idea of being inherently subservient, we would rebel if we were forced into doing anything, condemning it as slavery. That's the mindset we have because we've been raised that way. But assuming Pokemon have pack instincts, they have a different mindset. If you have the "alpha" position, they'll happily do whatever you want, without question. It's how their mind works. (Once again, assuming they think in packs) This is the real and true reason why a rebellion would not happen. Their mind doesn't even fathom "rebellion," it's not a concept that their mind could grasp, if my theory is correct.

Not to say the idea of a rebellion isn't fun, though. I might read the fanfic I mentioned myself. I'm just blurbing out fantheories because I can. XD
