Prologue

"Within two years, you shall marry my son. Your father and I had agree on this. This will give me the forces I need to rebuild the Galatic Empire." Moff Gideon spoke as he stood firmly in front of me.

I was seated on my throne my mother use to sit on and next to me was my father, the king of Nueth. He seek power just as much as the man who stood before us.

"I will not marry you, this is not how we do things. This is not the way." I said quietly as I glanced over to my father who glared at me to accept. I gulped, looking away.

"You do not have a choice." Gideon said.

Who was he to tell me I didn't have a choice?!

I looked at my father once again, my lips part slightly. "Father, I do have a choice, do I not?" I asked quietly, afraid to raise my voice at him.

"No. He will not gain my fighters that way. The deal has to be sealed with marriage. Without that, the fighters he requires to help him with his battles, will not follow his orders." He said, standing up and I quickly stood up aswell.

"That doesn't make any sense! Can't you just order them to work for him?! I want no part-" I was struck in the face by him, falling silent as the room fell silent aswell.

"You will marry and when you do, not only will you become a queen, you will have the most powerful army in the universe. Is that understood?" He spoke loud enough for everyone in the throne room to hear.

Behind me, my sister chuckled quietly but everyone heard her. "Understood.." I said in defeat as I stared down at the floor.

"Excellent!" He shouted, putting his hands up, causing me to flinch. The people gathered inside of the throne room all cheered with happiness but I sulked as I stepped down from the pedestal my throne rested on.

I looked back at the throne where my mother use to sit. She was a powerful woman just sitting there. She was confident that even father couldn't reach her level. Ever since she died, things changed.

Even though she had a king at her side, she was the king.

I sighed and walked away from the cheering crowd and headed towards my room. Following beside my leg was a tiny BB-8 droid, completely white and the last of its design.

It was my companion, something mother gave to me before she passed on. It was harmless, wouldn't harm a hair on anyone's body, so I was told. She held much information though, something I find quite helpful if I wanted to get out of here and far away from this planet.

"Pssst!" Someone called out to me. My head turned in the direct of the call. I smiled seeing a friend of mines who was willing to help me.

"Ven, you're here." I looked around before quickly making my way over to him. "The ship is waiting for you outside, it's not the best but it should get you far away from here." He said, holding my hands tightly.

"Aren't you coming with me?" I asked, staring into his crystal-grey eyes that stared back into mines. "I cannot. The ship can only hold you and your BB-8 companion." He released my hands gently, clearing his throat.

"I will fix your BB-8 right away, Milady." He said bowing. I looked at him, raising a brow in confusion.

He looked behind me and I turned around, seeing Moff Gideon standing there with a smug look on his face. Standing next to him was his son who had no interest whatsoever being here.

"Thank you, Ven." I looked down at my BB-8. "Follow the kind man." I said, smiling. She spun around in her place before rolling over to Ven, who soon walked away.
