Faded petals
One rare glimpse. Of a torn heart, laid bare
Two magic words. From a vow, long forgotten
Three poetic lines. From a song, you used to sing
One single teardrop. From a chin, that I wiped
Two trembling hands. Of a woman, I once new
Three broken promises. From a father, to a child
One incomplete image. Of a life, never lived
Two constructed memories. Of happy times, gone by
Three faded petals. From a rose, left to die
