Ivories and Scarlet
ivories and scarlet
wrapped around a theme
petals falling softly on
the black and white moments
eyes down, heads bowed
hearts engaged
and in time the serenade
becomes a symphony
the seed of a garden
the tone of a romance to be
where it echoes is where it goes
and where it rests is where it lives
