Sad Reverie
I sat here by the old piano,
Reminiscing our love some years ago;
Relishing the moment when you asked if I love you,
And as sweet as the rose you gave me, I said "I do".
------
The moonlight sonata I was playing that night,
The enchanting moon a witness to our pure delight;
As we kiss and embrace each other so tight,
Thrilled in a moment of love that feels oh so right.
------
But now you're gone and I'm staring blankly at this piano,
To play our sonata of love I no longer can do;
My hands have grown numb as my heart feels so,
The rose dried up yet my tears still doesn't want to.
