Running

-Sean's POV- (Once again!)

"Herobrine." I muttered, staring up in shock at the glowing white pairs of eyes. I had to look up at him to see his face.

He smiled manically and laughed. "So, you do know my name."

"Yes, I do." I said, narrowing my eyes at him.

"No need to snap at me." He said, kneeling down so that our faces were level. He looked me in the eye, and smiled, somehow freeing my feet from the magical spell.

"I can sense your despair, Sean." (A/N: Dangan Ronpa reference!)

"What?"

"Your despair. I can sense it."

"My what?"

"Never mind." He said, turning away.

Weird...

"Anyway, I hear you lost your family a while back. How was that?" He said, smirking.

"How do you think it was?" I asked, glaring at him.

"Heartbreaking. Infuriating. It made you feel empty and hopeless."

I made an "o" with my right hand. "Spot on, dude." I said, nodded slowly. "What was the point of asking me that, anyway?"

"Oh, just a test. You passed, by the way." He said, standing up.

"Cool?" I said awkwardly. "Can I, um, go now?" I said, pointing towards the hallway I came through.

"Oh, no need to go back through that endless hallway." He turned to one of the corners of the room, making a door appear. "Just go through that door."

"Um, sorry, but no thank you. I'll just go back through the hallway and go through one of the other hallways." I said, backing away from him.

"Are you sure?" He asked, making me freeze in place. I don't know why, but I suddenly started questioning myself.

C'mon, Sean.

You have a good feeling about that door, don't you?

It feels powerful, huh?

Why would you waist 10 more minutes going through the same, boring, hallway?

"I-..." I paused, remembering what my father had always told me. "Can I trust you?"

He laughed. "Of course..." He turned around, probably hoping I wouldn't hear him mutter, "you can't."

Those 4 words told myself to start running, and I did.

"Come back, Sean..." His voice echoed through the hallway.

Ignoring him, I kept my thoughts together:

First, escape Herobrine.

Second, find the others.

Third-

Wait, what's that noise?

I turned my head around and saw the most terrifying thing ever.

Mobs- Every single mob- chasing after me.

Creepers, skeletons, zombies, baby zombies, endermen, pigmen-

Every single one.

I heard moans, clicking, and rattling.

Whoosh.

An enderman appeared in front of me.

Avoiding its eyes, I dove under its legs, pulled myself back up, and started running again.

I finally got to the door, silently cheering to myself as I went through a dark green hallway.

After a couple minutes, the sounds of mobs quieted.

Sighing, I turned my sprint into a walk. But my walk turned to a run shortly after, due to the moaning sounds.

At the end of the hall, there was a plain white door. I grabbed the knob and swung it open. Outside the door, was a forest.

"More running. Great." I mumbled sarcastically, dashing off into the woods.
