The following weeks passed very quickly and it was already the wedding day. The test result came the day before and it was negative, so after that, I never heard from my mother again. Miguel kept asking me how I felt and making sure that I wasn't just pretending to be fine. The truth is that I didn't want her around, so I was happy to know, in her Facebook post, that she had managed to get a donor for my sister, but that was it, I wanted to go back to my life without her physical or mental presence.

It was a beautiful summer day, the sun was shining brightly and after months of organization, that day had come, it was finally my father's wedding day. He was so nervous that he didn't even joke, which was a very strange thing coming from him. Before we all left my house, we took lots of pictures so that we could save the memories of what was one of the best days of my father's life. I was wearing a short red armless dress that matched Miguel's tie. I took pictures with all of them and my father insisted on taking a million pictures of me and Miguel. He really liked him and they got along really well as they both had as their favorite hobby to mess with me.

When we arrived at the church, my father started welcoming and talking to everyone present, so we entered the church. The whole place was decorated with lots of white flowers, Beni's mother had spent hours in the florist choosing them and it was simple but perfect, she had amazing taste in things like that.

It was almost time for the wedding to begin, and as everyone entered, I could see how nervous my father was. He was wearing a black tuxedo with a white shirt and a black bow tie. He knew she would be late, it was typical but at the same time, it only made him even more nervous. I had never seen him like this but I knew Beni would be there in a few minutes, she texted me asking to calm him down so that's what I did.

Someone announced that she had arrived and the smile on my father's face was priceless. When she entered the church, everyone was delighted with her, she was so beautiful. Her dress was white and without shoulders and it was one of the most beautiful wedding dresses I had ever seen.

After a long mass, the priest said what we all wanted to hear: "Ricardo, you may kiss the bride" and they got married, they were very happy and I was really proud of them. She was the best thing that happened to him and the smile on his face proved it. I could see Marta crying while they were kissing and Francisca also holding back tears, tears of happiness. They were my best friends and they liked my dad a lot, they had to be there.

Then everyone saw the couple's car leave to take them to the reception; we followed them in Miguel's car and when we arrived I couldn't believe what he was seeing, my dad told me it was perfect, but I never imagined it would be like that, it was more than perfect. Lunch would be in the garden; there were several tables with white tablecloths with lace on the hem with everything perfectly organized on top and a picture with the table number that showed who should be at each table so people could sit where they were supposed to. Inside was the dance floor, with lights and a place for the band to play the music.

Everyone was still talking and congratulating them as we started to eat the starters because we were starving. There was so much to try but what I was really excited about was the sushi, since they had added it to the menu because of me.

I was at the principal table, which was facing the rest of them, with Miguel, my father, Beni, my grandmother, and Beni's parents. Marta and Francisca were at the table next to mine, with my aunt and her boyfriend. There was also a table exclusive for kids. Everyone took their seats and all I could hear was everyone laughing and having a really good time. After a while, everyone had their food in front of them and was ready to eat, the happy couple started eating and everyone followed them, the food was delicious, it was worth every penny that they had spent. Just before dessert, the best man did his speech, it was fascinating how he told how he had met my father, how he met Beni, how he knew from the beginning that it was a good match and how he had known all of my father's girlfriends but had never seen him so happy as he was with his wife and I couldn't agree more with him, it was completely true. I could see them trying not to cry and after that, my father only hugged him and said: "Thank you, you are really the best". After that, it was cake time, an amazing white cake with; their picture on top, they cut the first slice together and then started to give everyone who wanted a slice one. Then there was the toasted to the newly-married couple.
