When I got home that day, Miguel wasn't there yet. I sat on the sofa playing with Cookie.

- "How am I gonna tell him? And how do you think he's going to react?"

I don't know for how long I just stayed there, thinking about all of these things but my heart started beating really fast when I heard Miguel opening the door.

- "Hey babe, how're you doing? They asked me to stay one more hour and I don't say no so we can have more vacation time, right?" he seemed tired but relaxed and I knew I was about to change that.

- "Hey, I'm fine and you?" I said while getting the courage to tell him the news.

- "I'm okay. Did you see Dr. Lewis?" I would have to tell him but I still didn't know how.

- "Yes, I did. We need to talk about that." I was shaking when he sat next to me.

- "What's going on? Are you okay? Did you get something in Hawaii as you thought?"

- "Not exactly but yes something happened in Hawaii"

- "Sara, you're scaring me. What's going on?" He grabbed my hands and looked me in the eyes, I could see how worried he was and I couldn't lie or omit him something like that.

- "I'm pregnant." I said and I felt like my heart would jump out of my chest. "Pregnant" I repeated and, as I said it, it was like it had become real.

- "You're... Oh my God... You're pregnant." he said, looking shocked "Oh my God, you're pregnant, we're gonna have a baby." he said, letting out a huge laugh and hugging me.

- "So, you're happy with it?" I asked, surprised and in shock.

- "Why shouldn't I be? We're pregnant! Ahah" he sounded truly happy. "Wait, you're not?"

- "I don't know, I mean, yes I guess I'm just so surprised." I said, confused and we both laughed at me "We didn't plan this and I don't know anything about babies or the care I have to have during the pregnancy and... I don't know, a room! We don't have a room or anything for the baby, and we're so young and our travels need to be better thought of from now on. And Cookie, we don't know if the baby will be allergic to dogs!" I let out everything that was on my mind without giving them a good thought and Miguel just laughed.

- "Babe, calm down. Look at me" As our eyes met I felt calmer "We're going to be ready when the baby comes, don't worry. We will remodel one of the bedrooms, we'll take every consultation you need to make sure you're both fine. But Sara, we're going to have a baby." his smile was so bright that I couldn't help but smile too. "Did you hear this Cookie, our family will have a new member, you're happy too, aren't you?" he said and we laughed.

- "We're gonna do this." I said half crying and half smiling.

- "We are babe, together." He said and leaned his forehead against mine. "Now, tell me what you need right now."

- "I really would like a doughnut." I replied and we both laughed for a while.

I was happy because being a mother was a dream of mine and I had everything I always thought was essential for me to have a child: I lived in a good country, had financial stability and the father of my baby was a wonderful man. However, I still felt confused and with mixed emotions; I wanted to travel and had a lot of adventures that I still hadn't had and, with a baby, probably wouldn't be possible. Everyone always said that after having a baby certain things of life needed to end but I wasn't ready to give up on them and, at the same time, I really wanted that baby.

After two months, I decided to start telling people about the pregnancy so I called Marta and Francisca to tell them first.

- "Hey, girls!" I greeted them and, after small talk, I said "I have news."
