Sydney's POV

"Let's go somewhere." Ashton randomly pipes up after I properly poise myself.

"Where?" I ask, glancing down at my hand, with Ashton's still drapped over it.

"I don't know, somewhere." He nonchalantly says, removing his hand.

"Well we're already at Somewhere..." My voice trails off at my attempt at making a joke.

"I'm serious! Let's go do something fun." He pauses. "Not that I wasn't already having fun. But, let's have an adventure." His eyes shine at the mention of adventure.

"What about dinner?" I ask, gesturing to our almost empty plates.

"Pish Posh, dinner this, dinner that." He flags down a server, being sure to avoid the sassy one. "Can we get our check please?" The waitress nods and heads off to the back, carrying our plates away.

Ashton drums with his fingers in the table waiting for the check, bouncing his leg. "Green day? Interesting choice." I say, referring to the beat he was tapping.

"I'm impressed, but you do have great taste in music."

"Why thank you, and you've got pretty good taste yourself." I flash him a smile, and he returns it.

"I just got a brilliant idea!" He excitedly pops out of nowhere. "We should go to the square downtown!"

"And what gave you that thought?" I ask, taking a sip of lemonade.

"Music." A slow smile creeps across his face until his dimples come out and all his teeth are exposed in his bright grin.

That smile.

Ashton's POV

Her eyes begin the cute squinty thing they do when she smiles, her lips gradually joining the expression.

That smile.

The check comes back and I quickly stuff the correct amount of bills in it. "Keep the change." I say, and quickly pass it back to the waitress.

Sydney looks like she's about to protest me paying for the meal, but I just get up and grab her hand, pulling her out of the restaurant.

She floats behind me, laughing as I pull her to the parking lot. I smile to myself when I notice she parked right next to me. Turning to get into the correct side of her car, I yank her back to me. Almost dance-like, she twirls into me and falls against my chest.

"There's no time to waste." I whisper, looking down to see her freckles.

We both hop into my car and I key the ignition.

Sydney's POV

He spins me in, our faces dangerously close. My left hand naturally finds a resting spot on his chest.

"There's no time to waste."

I comprehend that he means about the cars.

We just go.
