"Nice building." Who I've learned is Calum mutters as we walk into the lobby.
"Thanks, I'm on the fifth floor." I say, pressing for the elevator. I pull out my phone and call August. I saw her car in the garage, so I expect her to be there when we come up.
"Where are you!" She wines before either of us can even say hello.
"I'm comming, but there's something you should know..." I don't get a chance to finish my statement before Calum shouts something behind me.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP CALUM, SHE'S ON THE PHONE!" Michael yells back.
"Who the hell is Calum?" August questions, while we all pile into the elevator. Luke presses the five button and I give him a small 'thank you' smile.
"Hold on, you'll see, we're in the elevator." The doors close, and we steadily climb up to my floor.
They open to reveal an annoyed, then suddenly very shocked August sitting on the floor with her back against my front door. Her phone is still pressed against her ear so I say into the line,
"Surprise!" And hang up.
I fiddle with my keys in the lock as August properly introduces herself to all the boys. Although their presence caught her off guard, she's cool and even a little flirtatious. August never even hesitates to flirt with a guy. Not slutty, or ditzy flirting, but her natural personality. I've always admired her ability to mesh with anyone without ever becoming a 'queen bee' personality type.
We get inside and Calum, Michael, and August go hang out on the couch with some beers. Luke, Ashton and I stay over in the kitchen and drink. For a while the three of us make 'getting to know you' chit chat, then Luke excuses himself. Ashton and I converse some more before Michael sticks his head in the doorway.
"Hey, we saw that you have a record player, got any good music?"
"Sure I do." I walk into the living room and open the cabinet next to the record player and pull out one of my go-to classics: The Stranger by Billy Joel.
I carefully pull it out of the cover and place it on the player, and play the album. Dead static plays for a second until the first track starts.
Instant recognition spreads across their faces as Movin' Out comes on. Calum mimics playing the bass as it comes in. Pretty soon my whole living room is filled with people air-playing an instrument while August grabs everyone another round. By the time the chorus comes along we're scream-singing, and swigging beer.
"IM MOVIN OUT!" We all continue to screech the car noises at the end of the song.
Now everyone's out of breath, so I plop on the couch next to August. The next song to play is the title song, The Stranger. Although it isn't slow, we treat it as a cool-down song as we all regain our breathe and composure. Everyone's drinks are once again empty so August goes to get some more beers.
When she returns with the beers she bursts out with, "We should play truth or dare!!"
"We should not!" I say fakly returning her enthusiasm.
"Aw, c'mon Sydney, don't be such a buzz kill." Ashton says, his accent smearing all over it, making it sound terribly attractive.
I groan, "Fine, but only if I get to ask you first Ashton!" Now he groans, but agrees. "Truth or dare?"
He ponders for a moment before answering "Truth." The other boys all boo, calling him a baby.
"Ok, how many people have seen you stark naked." Luke and Michael raise their hands.
"Well, obviously my mates, minus sweet, innocent Calum." Ashton coos, tenderly stroking Calum's face.
"Ew." Calum says, squirming out of his grip. "That is one train I DON'T want a ticket to ride."
"Oh admit it Calum, you've ALWAYS wanted to get with this." Ashton purrs, guestirung to his body. We all crack up.
"You never answered my question!" I remember, after we're all done laughing. "You have to answer."
"Fine." He takes a second to count it on his fingers. "A solid 15 people. MY TURN!" He shrieks. "Calum, truth or dare?"
He doesn't even hesitate, just narrows his eyes and says, "Dare..."
Ashton doesn't give him a dare instead he walks over to me and whispers in my ear. "I need to borrow a bra. I'm gonna make Calum wear it for the rest of the night." I giggled, a slow smirk spreading across my face.
"Gladly." I whisper back, going to get him one.
"Where's she going?" I hear Calum say as I leave the room, he's getting nervous you can tell.
I open the dresser drawer that holds my bras and underwear. Right on top sits a purple sport bra. Perfect. I ball it up and hold it behind my back, not wanting to ruin the surprise yet. When I re-enter the living room everyone is staring at me. Stealthily, I hand Ashtin the bra behind our backs so no one can see it.
He calmly walks over to Calum, with his hands still behind his back. Calum is scared shitless.
"I dare you to...WEAR A BRA FOR THE REST OF THE NIGHT!"
He surprises him and tries to yank the sports bra over Calum's head. At first Calum was too shocked to do anything but he started wrestling to get the bra off.
"Lads, quick help me! Pin his arms down" Ashton calls, and they do, so Calum is pretty much powerless as Ashton puts the bra on him.
August and I just sit on the other couch and laugh our asses off.

Sorry about the length, but I couldn't just leave it with a bra-less Calum. Hope you liked it though.
