2 DAYS BEFORE THE ACCIDENT:
ASAMI POV
I was washing the dishes, thinking about no other than my Avatar. I had just turned 24 yesterday, and I couldn't help but to think where she was now. Ever since Katara took me out of that orphanage I alway had her blue beautiful eyes, and little cute belly on my mind. I had dreamt to see her come back to me since the first night I was without her. I miss my Avatar, and I want to see her again, I would do anything to have her in my arms and never let her go. Ooh dear Raava, please send her my way.
“Asami dear, can you grab the tea off the stove?” Katara said breaking my train of thought. “Coming nana.” I said as I grabbed her favorite mug and started to pour the tea. I walked into the living room and handed her tea. “Here you go nana.” I said waiting to see if she needed anything else.
“Thank you dear. Now what is going on in that head of yours? I can tell when you are in deep thoughts, so tell me what's worrying you? She said in her old voice as she sipped on her tea, waiting for me to respond.
I sighed, I knew she would ask me about my “Avatar situation.”, but I really didn't want her to tell her yet. So I did the next best thing. Hide my thoughts with my other problems.
“Oh it's nothing, I'm just wondering about other places to find work. Now that the tea shop is closing, I need to find a new job so that we can keep paying rent or even better, get out of this place. I'm mean this house is falling apart and once I save up the money hopefully we can move into a small apartment. Now that you can't work as much, I really need to find a decent paying job, more than 3.88 dollars per hour. I just don't know what I'm going to do. I really don't, we are living in a house where at any moment the walls could be caving down on us. We just need to find a way out of here. I'm just trying to find the best solution I can.
“Are you done stalling?” she said looking at me with a smile on her face.
“Wait, How did you know I was stalling?” I asked with a confused and shocked look on mine.
“Because you just admitted to it, and plus the house normally isn't this quite when you are around. Just saying” Katara said, raising her old wrinkled hands up.
I took a deep breath in and a deep breath out., “Listen, I'm just not ready to speak about it, can I tell you later?” I said right as my phone rang. I grabbed my phone, checked the caller ID and it was Bolin. I looked at her, for permission to excuse myself. She nodded. I got up and rushed outside.
“Hey Bo whats up?” I asked, a little scared “Hey Asami, sorry to be calling you this late. But is there any way we can stay over at your place, we got locked out of the shelter again.” He said with a little bit of embarrassment in his voice.
“SPIRITS OF RAAVA. BO YOU FUCKING SCARED ME! But yes you can, you two are always welcome.” I said a bit rough in the beginning but soft at the end.
“Thank you so much Asami, we are on our way.” Bolin said excitedly.
“Okay see you then, be safe.” I said before I hung up. I walked back inside and went back to the living room. “Hey nana, Bolin and Mako are coming over, they got locked out of the shelter again.” I said in a normal unphased voice.
