Kisuke smirked and said, "It's also a birthday present so no need for behaving besides Isshin has to pay for repairs."
I giggled and said, "Alright but he's already paying for my medical bills so I'll be on my best behavior."
Kisuke put his hand on her head and ruffled her hair saying, "I want to show you something but you can't tell anyone about it not even Ichigo."
I looked up at him and asked, "Will I ever be able to tell Ichigo?"
Kisuke nodded and said, "Yes but only when I tell you that you can tell him."
I nodded and smiled saying, "Alright I promise not to tell anyone."
Kisuke smiled and said, "Let's go then." He picked her up putting her on his back he said, "Hold on."
I nodded and wrapped my arms around his neck loosely. He began to walk and opened a trap door going down a ladder I looked around and said, "Whoa! So cool!"
He nodded and said, "I made it but with something called reiatsu."
I nodded and said, "Mommy talked about that a lot she said I was like her friend's son. She was never able to let me meet him."
Kisuke asks, "What was your Mom's name?"
I reply, "Hana Ukitake. She said she had a few brothers."
Kisuke's eyes widened for a fraction of a second before he asked, "Do you know anything about shinigami?"
I nodded smiling as I said, "My mom told me that I am part shinigami."
Kisuke nodded and said, "I'll have less to explain now."
He got to the ground and I hopped off and saw a black cat I crouched down and held my hand out saying, "Here kitty kitty. Nice kitty."
The cat looked at me and said, "My name is Yoruichi."
I smiled brightly and said, "That was the name of my godmother."
Yoruichi's eyes widened as she asked, "Ami?"
I looked at the cat confused and asked, "How do you know my name?"
Yoruichi sprinted off then a woman came out and kneeled down in front of me. She said, "Hi Ami you haven't met me before but I am your godmother and I can turn into a cat I was a soul reaper like your mom Hana."
I smiled and asked, "So you're my new mom?"
Yoruichi nodded and said, "Yeah so what are you doing here?"
I sat down wincing slightly as I moved my left leg wrong and leaned too much on my left arm.
She asked, "What happened?"
I smiled sadly and said, "When I was 5 my dad killed my mom and so I went to live with my grandma....then two months ago we decided to move back because my dad died but....we got into a car accident...she didn't make it and...my whole left side was crushed I-I almost died....but then Isshin-san fixed me up along with midnight visits from Tessai."
Kisuke asked, "You knew Tessai was there at night?"
I nodded and said, "I was awake during the sessions but pretended to be asleep since it seemed like he wanted me to be asleep while healing me. So after I was healed as much as they could do I came here because Isshin already has kids and my reiatsu would attract hollows near them. I didn't want them to get hurt so I agreed to come here....I'm glad that I did." I smiled between the two and asked, "So when am I gonna start training?"
Yoruichi hugged me and said, "You're so strong...just like your mom she'd be so proud of you right now."
I hugged her back then let go and asked, "Can you help me train Yoruichi?"
She nodded and got up helping me up she said, "We'll start with a few laps around this area after stretching then I'll give you some options of things we can do."
I nodded and said, "Isshin-san gave me some stretches to do." I grabbed my left ankle and pulled it up so it was up straight in the air as I tilted my body to keep balance. She looked at me with shocked eyes and I just grinned as I switched to the other leg. I continued to do stretches ignoring the pain because it wasn't as bad as when my dad used to hit me.
Once we were done stretching she said, "Alright now follow me for the laps and when I stop you stop okay?
I nodded and she began jogging at a light pace I copied her movement and followed her around the area. I felt my legs being over used but I needed to be strong just like my mom.
When she finished the laps she turned to me and said, "Okay we will be doing all of these things eventually but you can choose the first one. The choices are ballet, gymnastics, or yoga. We won't start with it until tomorrow."
I nodded and thought for a moment before saying, "I want to do ballet first."
She nodded and said, "Okay."
I smiled then felt my leg give way and fell over groaning. I said, "I hate this...I hate being weak....." I hit the ground then cradled my arm as pain shot through it making me bit my lips so I wouldn't cry out in pain.
Yoruichi came over to me quickly and said, "You're not weak you didn't complain once when I was having you run those laps....you're very strong Ami."
I looked down and mumbled, "NoI'mnot."
She put her hand on my head and said, "Yes you are Ami."
Kisuke went over to us and sat behind me he put his hand on my leg and said, "Most people wouldn't even attempt anything you've done Ami-chan. Your progress is enormous."
I started to cry wondering if what Kisuke was doing was what a real father would do. He hugged me to his chest and said, "It's alright Ami-chan let it out."
I cried harder as I buried my face in his chest sobs wracking my body I whimpered, "I-I want.....y-you...t-to be...m-my….d-dad K-K-Kisuke."
He stroked my hair and said, "Alright Ami-chan I'll be your dad."
I had ended up crying myself to sleep in his lap.

I looked up at Yoruichi and said, "She's very strong but doesn't show emotions well....we need to help her be able to be open with people."
She nodded and said, "I know."
