(Luke's POV)
I don't think Zander is okay, every time I try and be nice he just, thinks bad about himself. I don't need him doing that, he's my best friend, no way he is going to be looking down on himself. I kinda have a crush on him too, but that's besides the point. I need to help him get over his insecurities, I overheard him tell himself, "I'm a freak, Luke is only freinds with you because he felt bad." Those words hurt me, he can't think like that! I'm talking to him about it tomorrow, he needs to stop thinking about that!

~Next Day~
Today is the day I'm going to tell Zander that I know he's been thinking about himself in a bad way. "Hey Luke." I heard Zander start talking to me while we walk to school, he said it in such a sad tone, I'm going to tell him. "Zander, I know you're thinking bad about yourself. I overheard you the other day call yourself a freak.."
I could see the shock on his face, now I just wait. "I am! Everyone says so! I'm not like anyone else, I don't-" I cut him off, "STOP! You are not a freak, please stop thinking like that, I wanna help you." "A-alright"

~Few weeks pass~
(Zander's POV)
It's been a few weeks since Luke started helping me with my insecurities, he really helped me get through them, he does actually care about me! His smile is kinda cute too, when he sees me get over one of them, wait what did I say?! Do I have a crush, no, I can think it's cute without it being a crush! Okay, dang it, it is a crush.., I can't help it! He's kind, genuine, and always puts people in a good mood! His eyes are just, ugh they are so beautiful! Ugh, now I'll be stuck with this stupid crush for a long time, he won't like me back anyway.
"Zander Hi!" "Gah- Hi Luke" "Oh, did I scare you?" He sounded so concerned. "Just a bit heh" "Well, I need to get to P.E, see you after class!" "See you!"
He's so energetic, It's cute.. yep, definitely a crush, dang it...

(3rd person POV)
When Luke and Zander walked home, Zander kept thinking about Luke, he faced the fact that he and a crush and he couldn't get over it. The main feature on Luke that stood out to Zander was his golden, butterscotch eyes. He could stare at them all day, he sometimes got lost in them. He thought nothing could be more beautiful than his eyes. "Zander, are you okay, you've been very quiet."
(Ep 4 reference-) "Gah, uh, yes! I'm fine!" Zander was so deep in thought he forgot Luke was even there. "I was just thinking" "What were you thinking about?" Luke was so curious on what Zander could be thinking about. "You're not thinking bad on yourself again, are you?" "No I'm not, I'm just thinking about, someone." "Who?" "Uhm, secret!" Zander tried not to make it obvious that it was Luke but the way he was talking, he thought he did make it obvious. "Oh.. okay" Luke didn't sound energetic like he was. "You okay, you didn't sound happy when you said that.."

(Luke POV)
"I'm just fine!" I tried to sound convincing but, I wasn't happy, he probably likes someone else, I'm not his type anyway.

(Both their minds)
He won't like me back, not in a million years..
