Alexandria looked beautiful in her dress. Would I ever tell her that? Never. She looked like an actual angel that ascended from heaven, although I don't believe in that bullshit.

The actual award show was a mess. Trevor said that I had to put an act that I was so happy that I won best male solo that I decided to openly re propose to Alexandria. Two things, who the fuck does that? Second, why the fuck would I, out of all men, do sappy, romantic, downright disgusting shit like that? I hate Trevor. He's a fucking dickhead.

At the after party I left Alexandria and went to the bar. I got myself a whiskey on rocks and chugged the whole thing. I needed to find some release for my anger and frustration and obviously the drinks are my answer.

A girl sat beside me and she decided to keep me occupied for a while. She hiked her skirt up as she sat in front of me.

"Hey there," she said with a seductive smile.

"Hi sexy," I said shamelessly. I was supposed to be engaged and as much as I hated it, if I break character I'd be in deep shit. But I was too tipsy to be bothered with that stupid rule.

We continued to flirt like twelve year olds but my eyes suddenly fixated on something behind this girl.

The white was a stark contrast to the dark set up of the party. Her dress shone brighter than all and immediately caught my eye. The beautiful angel twirled around elegantly, laughing heartily, as she danced with no care in the world. Her smile radiated happiness. Her eyes were crinkled from laughing as she danced. I pried my eyes away from her and continued to talk to the girl in front of me. My eyes kept darting back to the beauty on the dance floor and I had to physically remind myself not to do it.

A couple minutes pass and subconsciously I turn to look at her. A man's hand was travelling down her body while the other groped her. She's going to get the two of us in trouble.

"I'll be back," I smiled sweetly to the girl I was talking to. She nodded and gave me a sultry smile. Once I walked away from her I shook my head at how much she wanted my dick.

As I approached Alexandria and the mysterious fellow she was dancing with I quickly realised none of this was consensual. The girl was crying and trying to rip his arm away from her. A surge of anger coursed through me.

I was quick to shove the guy away.

"What the fuck man!" He shouted.

"That's my fucking fiancé, dickhead!" I yelled, not even thinking when I said so. I gave him a couple hard punches, knocking him to the ground but breaking my skin in the process. Nothing I wasn't already used to. I've had worse.

"Touch her again and I'll fucking break you," I growled angrily before turning my attention to Alexandria. She was crouched over on the floor crying her eyes out. I took her home but she was too scared to stay alone and I couldn't do anything but stay with her.

After I had changed I was sat on her bed, waiting for her to come out. I heard very soft cries coming from her washroom and without thinking I asked if she's okay. Of course she wasn't. She just almost got assaulted, that's a beyond stupid question to ask her.

"Can I see?" I asked stupidly. Why would she let me see her like that? I tried defending myself just so she doesn't blow up on me. But to my surprise the door slowly opened, letting me see her bruises. She had darkening bruises on her hips and chest. I knew that a little ice would help. I wordlessly turned around and went to her kitchen.

I grabbed a washcloth and put a couple pieces of ice on it before returning to her. I sat her up on the counter and settled myself between her legs. The cold cloth was pressed on her bruise and she shivered, placing her hand on my shoulder. As I moved it, she leaned back. I put my other hand on her hips to stop her from leaning farther back. But also because I couldn't help myself. Her skin was beyond soft and had such a difference compared to my rough hand. Playing the guitar has ruined the softness of my hand but her skin was unbelievably velvety smooth.
