Niall had a hard look on his face as we went into the studio to film for Ellen's show. He definitely despised this place and having to do an interview was like a death sentence to him. We didn't have a hard time acting like we were together, because we actually were together.
Ellen had a way of ripping people apart. She did it such an elegant way that you wouldn't even notice what she's doing. But it's very cleverly planned. Niall and I were taken to two different rooms to get us ready. I was thrown into a flowery jumpsuit and a girl was assigned to do my makeup. It was very simple and light. Lots of pinks and nudes. They did my hair up in a pretty messy bun, wish I knew how to do that.
I got out of the room and went into Niall's. He was on the couch, dressed in black jeans and a dark blue shirt, which really brought out the blues of his eyes. His hair was doused heavily in hair spray to hold up his quiff.
"Hi there," I said, catching his attention. He looked at me and smiled so wide.
"I love it when you smile," I said, sitting beside him.
"You make me smile, my love," He said, my cheeks turning pink at his words.
"And you make me blush, cheeky boy," I chuckled.
"I hate that ring," he said, pointing to my fake engagement ring.
"I hate it too. It's too... gaudy," I said. "I like smaller rings which actually have a meaning."
"Do all your rings have meanings?" He asked.
"The one on my index is my siblings's names in their handwriting. The one I got caught wearing, that started all this, was my mother's engagement ring. This is the amber ring that you gave me. I do wear meaningless rings sometimes but the ones I wear always are important to me," I explained.
"That's actually so nice. Wish I liked wearing rings. Woulda bought a blue tourmaline one," he chuckled.
"It would suit you," I giggled.
"Don't get mad but... I saw that letter your dad wrote for your mum," he said.
"I read it very often. They were the sweetest couple ever," I sighed, curling closer to him.
"But we're cute no, baby?" He smirked, shoving me playfully, making me laugh.
"You bet your ass we are," I chuckled. Someone knocked on the door, getting both our attention.
"You guys are next," the set producer announced. Before I could open the door, Niall had to kiss me. His reason being, it doesn't feel right when he does it in front of cameras. And I agreed completely.
We were standing behind the set, waiting for our names to be called. Niall was a little panicked and understandably so. I grabbed his hand, rubbing my thumb in slow circles. I looked at him and instructed him to take slow and deep breaths, trying to calm his racing heart.
"Please welcome our guest for today, Niall Horan and his beautiful bride to be, Alexandria March!" I heard our names being called. I hate that I was being addressed as Niall's 'bride to be' as if that's what my actual occupation was. It was so condescending to me and I guess Niall understood my anger.
"Ignore, baby," He mumbled to me before walking out. I immediately put on a fake smile when I saw the cameras. Ellen was way too eager to welcome us and it threw me off a little.
"Hi Ellen. How are you?" I asked politely as she pulled me in for a hug.
"Wonderful, Wonderful. And you guys?" She asked.
