"We need to talk."

A phrase I pray no girlfriend has to hear from her boyfriend or vice versa. The second Niall got into my room saying that, I sat up alerted. It was mid April and I didn't know what worried him all of the sudden.

"What happened?" I asked. Niall kept pacing back and forth in my room.

"Our contract ends in a month," he said.

"I'm aware," I nodded.

"What do we do then? We can't meet for six months after that," he said.

"Niall we have phones. And you can just sneak into my place. Stop worrying too much," I said. I didn't really know how fool proof my plan was. I was thinking that we could just keep in touch and if we wanted to be together, either of us can just go to the other's place, keeping in mind the paps and fans. It would be a hard six months but we can be together normally after that.

"That won't work. It will tear us apart, Alexa," he said. Why does he find the need to be so pessimistic?

"Then what? You want to take a break?" I asked, that being the only other viable option other than trying to make it work.

"No! Absolutely not! No," he shook his head violently.

"Then that's our only option, Goldie," I sighed, falling back on my bed.

"I don't want that," Niall frowned.

"It's only six months. It can't be that bad bubba," I said, pulling his hand, making him fall on the bed beside me.

"I love you so much, Lexa. The thought of being away from you for six months just-," he cut himself off.

"I love you just as much, if not more, Niall," I said. The two of were going to face the rockiest, most challenging, part of our relationship. It's really being put to the test now.

A couple days go by and my bell was being rung at three in the morning. I sleepily threw on a robe and went downstairs to open my door. I came face to face with a very drunk Niall.

"Niall?" I mumbled sleepily.

"Lexaaa honeyyy I loveeee youuu," He slurred, falling into my arms. I might be tall but I really can't hold up a full grown man. I fell back on my butt, Niall falling over me.

"Oh my god Niall," I groaned, getting up from under him. I tried pulling him up but he was too drunk for me to handle. I sighed, leaning down and throwing his arm around my shoulder. I got him to move as much as I can. I plopped him down on his couch and put a blanket over him. I ran my hand through his hair, a little breath exhaled.

"What got into you, baby?" I whispered. I let him sleep on the couch while I got back into my bed.

I could feel the sunshine on my eyelids when a hand snaked around my waist. I cuddled closer to him, letting him hold me tighter. My legs tangled with his and I heard Niall's sigh of relief.

A couple hours go by and I woke up. It was quite late and I'd slept in. I was tired because I'd been woken up so rudely early in the morning. Niall's hand was rubbing slow circles into my stomach.

"Morning baby," I heard him say.

"Why'd you get drunk?" I asked.

"Because I wanted to," he said nonchalantly. I frowned, turning to face him.

"Okay but there's a limit for how much a person can drink. You literally dragged me to the ground," I said.

"Oh baby, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to drink that much, I swear. I was with friends and they shoved alcohol down my throat," he laughed.
