The rest of the ride had become highly awkward after our little almost kiss situation. Niall sat beside me in my dad's car as we drove down to the William Wordsworth house more commonly known as Dove Cottage.

It housed the great poet William Wordsworth his sister, Dorothy Wordsworth and, when he got married, his wife and three children. But they moved out of the place when he had children. Then the place was converted into a museum.

"Alexa want to explain to Niall where we're off to?" My dad asked.

"Ooh Yeah sure!" I said, turning in my seat to face Niall. He looked at me weirdly for a brief second before looking at me, interested.

"So you know the poet, William Wordsworth? He lived in this house, Dove Cottage, for eight years before he went to live in a bigger house. After that many people lived there but was it 1891 baba? Yeah, in 1891 the place was converted into a museum. By far, Grasmere's biggest tourist attraction," I said. Niall nodded, looking intrigued by the place.

"You're going to love it," I said giddily. I haven't been back here since like 5 years ago. I didn't see the need to go to a museum every year. But then I got too busy to ever go back which was sad.

My dad parked the car beside Benny's. Something that was annoying about this place was it was very hard to find a good parking spot and we had to park down the road. Considering I've been completely MIA on my social media I decided to film a little tidbit to go on my story.

It was a simple video of me walking through snow with the caption 'home' and a heart. I added it to my story and went about my day.

We reached the entrance of the Dove Cottage and I was bouncing on my feet in excitement. Once we got in I immediately took the role of being Niall's guide. Obviously the rest of the family knew where to go and the history behind the place but this was Niall's first time.

"Okay so you're coming with me," I said to Niall and he nodded in agreement.

"So the two siblings moved into this house in December of 1799 and they lived here until May of 1808. William wrote his most notable poems in this house, my heart leaps up, ode to duty, I wandered lonely as a cloud, yeah you get the point," I explained.

"That's so cool," Niall commented. I lead him to the living room.

"In Dorothy's journals she called this her font parlour or house place. It's just their living room," I said as he walked around the place. After our little tour of the living room we went to Dorothy's room.

"Dorothy Wordsworth was always brushed aside and wasn't given much attention as her brother. She was an excellent writer on her own accords but it was all overlooked," I said as we walked into her room.

"This is Dorothy's room. When William has gotten married to his wife, Mary, Dorothy gave up her room for her brother and his wife," I explained.

"She's very charitable," Niall said. "Nice drawing," He said, pointing to a painting on the wall.

"That would be Pepper, their dog. It was a gift," I said.

"What a name, Pepper," he chuckled.

"Hey! It's cute," I shrugged.

"Yeah, if you're into spices, Sure it's a cute name," he laughed. I contracted his contagious laughter and let out a chuckle myself.

"This portrait of Dorothy is the only picture of her at a young age," I said.
