~1 year later~
Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months and now months turned into a year.
It was an hour before the sun sets for the day. Myrah walked along the path, the dry leaves making a crumbling sound as she walked. It was fall. The weather was beautiful and cozy. The slight cold made you want to be at home, in front of the fireplace wrapped in a blanket with a mug of warm drink in your hand. But Myrah had no comfort in doing so. Instead after she finished off her work, she drove to a florist and bought two flower bouquets.
The kind florist lady smiled as Myrah picked out a rose and offered it to her. It was a routine, everyday Myrah came to buy flowers and she gave the lady one. The smile and joy on her face gave her heart some peace.
She stopped in her tracks and a tear dropped from her eye as she read the writings on the tomb stones.
"To a precious and loving daughter, granddaughter, niece and sister, an angel gone too soon. Forever in our hearts, Angeliana Faith Argento. "
"To a precious and loving son, grandson, nephew and brother, a borrowed angel now returned. Forever in our hearts, Angelo Kai Argento."
Myrah kneeled down and removed the fallen leaves on their grave.
She placed the flowers that she bought on her way here on their grave. The pink roses one for, her daughter and the yellow one for her son.
"Hey my loves, mommy came to see you. I miss you...a lot. There are so many things that I wished to do with you but never will be able to. I am sorry, my babies I took away your lives." Myrah sobbed.
For the past one year, Myrah always apologises to them, she still feels guilty and thinks that it all happened because of her carelessness.
She narrated to them, how her day went and soon she had to leave. With a heavy heart, she said her goodbyes to them and drove away.
She stopped at another place that she frequented almost everyday for the past one year.
It was a quiet park, she just sat admist the silence of the nature and tried to calm her chaotic heart.
She felt the presence of someone beside her and looked in that way.
She smiled lightly seeing the person. After the first time she went to her babies grave, she wanted to scream her heart out. She remembered, she left Matteo and Laura and ran here.
She was sobbing uncontrollably and slumped on one of the benches.
It was the same bench that she is sitting on today, or nearly everyday.
"Broken heart?" The person asked.
Myrah looked at that person and answered "Much more than that... It's complicated."
"I understand." He replied, his eyes fixated, looking at the beautiful sunset.
After that they never spoke ever again. Everyday they just sat beside each other, in their most miserable state, silently giving each other company.
