~seven years later~

Armando looked at his sleeping wife and a smile automatically erupted on his face.

He came back from the office late. It was almost midnight.

Though his heart was telling him not to wake up his beautiful wife who was sleeping comfortably but his surprise for her would have been ruined.

He sat beside her and placed a kiss on her forehead. Myrah stirred in her sleep and to wake her up, Armando kissed her lips.

He knew that she woke up when she started kissing back. He deepened the kiss making Myrah smile.

Myrah started undoing his tie and his button when Armando suddenly stopped her.

"What happened?" She asked, confused.

"So eager, aren't you. This will also come baby but first, happy birthday." He said pecking her lips.

"Aww, thank you my love and happy engagement anniversary." Myrah said wrapping her arms around him.

"Happy anniversary to you too." He said nuzzling her cheek.

Myrah let her hands do the work of removing his jacket but he held her hands stopping her again.

"Wait baby." He chuckled.

"I can't! I missed you all day." Myrah whined with a pout that Armando kissed.

"I missed you too but baby the cake is not going to cut itself." He said, getting up.

Myrah pouted and lifted her body to look at the arrangements he did.

"When did you do all of this?" She chuckled getting up.

He decorated the room with balloons and the coffee table in the room was filled with gifts and in the middle, he placed her favorite, red velvet cake.

"When you were sleeping." Armando said holding her hands and bringing her to the couch.

Myrah being the deep sleeper she is could not hear a thing.

Myrah sat on the couch as Armando lit the candle.

"Make a wish my love." Armando said and Myrah smiled at him.

"It's our anniversary too, let's make this wish together." Myrah said holding Armando's hand.

Armando nodded. This is something Myrah makes him do every year. Armando knows deep down Myrah still does not like her birthday but their anniversary is the only thing that makes her celebrate it.

Together, they blew out the candle and made a wish.

Myrah fed Armando a piece of cake and ate a slice as well before telling Armando to take it away from her or she'll end up eating all of it.

Armando went in the kitchen to put the cake in the fridge. In the meanwhile, Myrah decided to unwrap a few of her gifts.

She went for the biggest box first with the thought 'who does not go for the biggest gift first?' Crossing her head.

It was a red saint laurent sac de jour handbag that she had been wanting to get for so long.
