Promised kisses

It's been a month since their beach date, the end of the semester approached and all the students couldn't be happier that they would get a little break.

Catra and Adora's feelings have only gotten stronger. Every now and then they would have a make out session before falling asleep, but nothing else happened. Both of them being afraid to cross the line and make the other one uncomfortable.

It became a habit to walk through the school corridors holding each other's hands. The other students just assumed they were a couple, but they still didn't have that talk.

It was a Thursday morning and Catra couldn't pay attention to her lecture. She was thinking about ways to get them closer again, to share a deeper connection. But she couldn't think about something concrete.

After she left her lecture she saw Glimmer putting some books in her locker. She thought that maybe the glittery girl could have some ideas.

"Hey sparkles." Catra tapped Glimmer on the shoulder.

"Oh hey Catra, what's up?" Glimmer looked better than ever for the past weeks, she had fixed things with bow and decided to stay friends with him so he could figure out his feelings.

"Not much, I was wondering if you could help me with something? Since you know Adora for so long anyways." Catra scratched her neck, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"Shoot, I'll try to help you." She gave Catra a genuine smile.

"Well, don't tell Adora this okay? But I think I'm falling for her... And we had an amazing time when we went on our date. I want to share another connection with her, she makes me feel so good, maybe we could take the next step, I don't know..." Catra mumbled.

"I'm so happy for you Catra, I know for a fact that you make Adora very happy. Hmmm, let me think... How about you do something neither of you have tried before?" Glimmer suggested.

"Like what?" The feline girl raised her left eyebrow, trying to figure out what the sparkly girl was saying.

"I don't know, try to do something adventurous, in the nature for example. Like camping!" Glimmer raised her voice with excitement.

"Camping? Huh... Not a bad idea sparkles, but I don't have a tent and I really don't know anything about it." The brunette confessed.

"Duh, that's the point if it, it's perfect, neither you or Adora has been camping before, you can explore alone. And don't worry, I have a tent, I could give it to you guys, I never use it anyway." She smiled to the feline.

"Damn, thanks sparkles, you're a life saver. You don't happen to know also a good spot we could go, do you?" Catra shot her luck.

"Hmm, I actually do! Around one hour from here there is a forest called 'The whispering woods', Bow told me about a camping trip he went on along with his dads. He told me the forest is huge, also really pretty" Glimmer closed her locker, she had already picked up her books for the next class.

"Sparkles, you're amazing! I own you one." Catra leaned in and gave her a hug. A year ago she would have never done that, but slowly she was opening up more, all of this thanks to Adora.

After all her lectures were over, Catra went back to her dorm. Exhausted but excited to ask Adora to go camping with her.

After opening the door she saw Adora sitting on the couch, the TV was on, apparently she had been watching Avatar - The legend of Korra. But Adora's eyes were closed and her mouth was slightly open, drooling.

'Is she taking a nap in the middle of the day? What a dummy' Catra grinned. She took her backpack out of her back and threw it on the floor, expecting Adora to wake up from the noise but she didn't. She walked closer to the blondie who was in deep sleep.
