Not exactly requested but helped by Swearingparrot seriously, go and Follow them. Is anyone even listening to me?! Anyway, they helped me with what ship to chose and they're just awesome so... yeah

I close my eyes and I can see
The world that's waiting up for me
That I call my own

"Hey. How'd you get out?"

Roman shrugged and sat down next to the other boy in the sand. "You've been crying." He said instead of answering Virgil's question. Virgil scrubbed at his eyes.

"No, I haven't." He muttered. Roman cupped his face in one hand and brushed away a stray tear with the other. "Princey-"

"Father's sending me away." Roman said, pulling tufts of coarse grass out of the sand. "To France, to 'further my studies'. I don't know what's going to happen to me."

"You're leaving?" Virgil asked, his voice so small Roman almost didn't hear it over the crashing waves.

"It's not like I have a choice, is it? I mean, where could I go?"

Virgil looked out at the blue and grey sea, thinking. He held out his hand and Roman took it carefully. "I know a place."

Through the dark, through the door
Through where no one's been before

"Sunshine, where are we going?"

"You'll see, Princey."

Roman jumped as a tree branch hit him in the face. "Yeah. I'll see."

"Come on, we're nearly there." Virgil stopped outside an old mansion that had been taken back by nature. "Tada."

"Woah." Roman stared up at the building with wide eyes. "I had no idea something so beautiful was so close to my house."

"I didn't know you didn't live in your house." Virgil said and before he could let Roman process what he'd just said, he let go of Roman's hand and grabbed onto the intertwined ivy and metal gate. "You can climb, right Princey?"

"Of course." Roman said, grabbing onto the gate and hitching himself up.

"Good. Because this gate will not open no matter what. Now come on."

As they both started to climb, the gate swung forwards and opened. Virgil let out a yelp and Roman a surprised laugh as the gate clanged to a stop.

"I did not know it did that." Virgil said as they both jumped down.

"It makes it a whole lot easier. Come on." Roman ran over to the mansion, marvelling at all the broken statues and weeds growing in and out of the gardens.

"Princey!" Virgil yelled as he ran after him. Then, he stopped. "Roman?"

Roman's face poked out of the ivy, making Virgil jump.

"Hey. Found the door. Come on." Roman's face disappeared and his hand came out of the ivy.

"Don't do that, Princey." Virgil said as he grabbed Roman's hand and allowed himself to be pulled into the ivy.

But it feels like homeThey can say, they can say it all sounds crazy
They can say, they can say I've lost my mind
I don't care, I don't care, so call me crazy
We can live in a world that we design

"This place is beautiful." Roman marvelled. "You've been inside?"

"No, actually. Didn't think you could get inside." Virgil said, staring up at the cracked ceiling where a dusty chandelier hung, covered in cobwebs.
