Song above if you want to listen to it
Requested by the amazing Swearingparrot
(Also, I take most of this song very literally. Just a warning)

Sometimes you gotta bleed to know
That you're alive and have a soul

"Ah shit." Virgil hissed, looking at the cut on the heel of his hand and opening his bag with his other hand. He knew he'd packed some plasters somewhere. "How'd you get yourself into this one, Virge?" He asked.

"Well, on the bright side, you know you're alive."

But it takes someone to come around
To show you how

Virgil looked up at Remus sceptically. "Just because I'm alive doesn't mean I have a soul." He said. Remus laughed and threw himself down by his boyfriend.

"I know you've got a soul." He said. "Cause you'd have to if you wanted to put up with me."

"Mhm, yeah." Virgil said, carefully putting a plaster over the cut on his hand. "But you and MCR are corroding my soul bit by bit. Mostly the music, if I'm honest." Remus laughed.

"Let me help you with that." He said, grabbing Virgil's hand.

"No, Remus, really it's-" Remus kissed the plaster. "Done."

"All better." Remus grinned as Virgil felt his face turn pink.

She's the tear in my heart
I'm alive

Virgil looked at the photos of himself and Remus on his phone. A lot of them were photos of them messing around but there were some really precious ones. Like one Virgil had taken of Remus when he had fallen down in the snow. Remus had insisted on making a snow angle and Virgil had given up on trying to get him to get up and had taken a picture instead. Looking at all the pictures, all the memories, saved on his phone made Virgil feel alive for once.

She's the tear in my heart
I'm on fire
She's the tear in my heart
Take me higher
Than I've ever been

"Remus! Remus, Remus, Re!" Virgil held onto Remus' arm for dear life as the rollercoaster descended. Remus' laugh was lost in the wind that whirled past Virgil's ears. Virgil didn't think he'd ever been so high up in his life and he didn't want to be ever again.

The songs on the radio are okay
But my taste in music is your face

Virgil sighed and gave up flicking through the radio channels, trying to find a good one. The song playing at the moment would do.

"Re, why are you staring at me?" He asked after a while of driving. "You should be looking at the directions unless you want us to get lost."

Remus smiled. "Your face is prettier than the directions."

Virgil laughed but didn't take his eyes off the road. "That's sweet Re but my face won't help us find our way to Bolton Abbey. So, please, look at the map."

"Fiiiiiine."

And it takes a song to come around
To show you how

Virgil tapped his fingers on the steering wheel nervously. "Where the fuck did all this traffic come from?" He hissed. Remus let out a snort of laughter and Virgil glared at him. "I'm allowed to swear, Re."

"I know, I've just never heard you say 'fuck' before." Remus giggled and Virgil rolled his eyes. He couldn't stay mad at Remus. Virgil stopped tapping his fingers on the steering wheel and began humming aimlessly to the tune on the radio.

"They finally put on a decent song, huh?"

"Yeah, guess they did."

She's the tear in my heart
I'm alive
She's the tear in my heart
I'm on fire
She's the tear in my heart
Take me higher
Than I've ever been
Than I've ever been
Than I've ever been
Than I've ever been

"Remus, you cannot climb on the ruins!" Virgil hissed.

"Why?" Remus whined.

"Because A, we're not allowed to and B, you're an adult."

"Fine." Remus crossed his arms and pouted. Virgil rolled his eyes and tried not to laugh.

"Come on, you idiot."

"Where are we going?"

"To the stepping stones. You like that sort of thing."

"Can I push people in?" Remus asked and there was so much hope and excitement in his voice that Virgil nearly laughed out loud again.

"No, you can't."

You fell asleep in my car I drove the whole time

Virgil looked over at Remus and smiled. He had fallen asleep, his head nestled on his seatbelt and looking like a child. Virgil laughed quietly and looked back at the road.

But that's okay I'll just avoid the holes so you sleep fine

Virgil swerved another hole on his lane. He knew Remus was a light sleeper and didn't want to wake him up. This was one of the moments he ever got any peace, for one, and Remus just looked cute and, for once, innocent when he was asleep. Virgil didn't want to ruin that.

I'm driving here I sit
Cursing my government
For not using my taxes to fill holes with more cement

"Fucking Hell." Virgil thought as he swerved another hole. "What could all the money they get from taxes go to? Why is that more important that filling Goddamn holes in a road?"

Virgil parked and gently shook Remus' shoulder. "Re? Re? We're back home now. Come on, wake up."

"No." Remus said in a mock-baby voice. "Me sleeping."

"Well you're clearly not."

"No. Me sleeping." Remus repeated. Virgil sighed.

"Fine. I guess I'll just have to watch a Christmas movie all by myself then."

"Christmas film?" Remus asked, opening his eyes. Virgil grinned.

"Yeah. But if you're too tired, we don't have to."

"No. No. I wanna watch a Christmas film!"

"Okay." Virgil grinned again as Remus got out the car and went up to the house, fumbling for his keys. "Works every time."

Hi Marilyn. I'm sorry this was so bad. I tried and I failed. Sorry about that.
Bye,
Blaize
