"Here we are," Dad says. "Kuoh Town. The area isn't too bad around here." I join him on the front porch. "What do you think?"

"I think you're crazy for making me come to this school. You know the devils will be able to single me out with no problems right? I may be your son but I'm pretty sure they outnumber me."
"You're worrying too much," he tells me. "You're stronger than all of them anyway, I know that. If any of the big wigs try to come mess with you then I'll make sure to let them know what's going on." While I'm not fond of my dad protecting me in this situation it's not like I have a choice. About 1000 years ago our clan, the Demon Clan, was wiped out by the devils. Humans took the credit back when it happened but Dad told me what really happened. It was part of the Civil War the devils were involved in and we were unlucky bystanders who couldn't hold out. Thankfully Dad and my grandfather were able to escape and slowly start reviving our clan. At some point he met Mom and they finally settled down, and 1000 years later I was born. Demons live for a long time and Mom, well she's more than just a human so she's been alive for over 1000 years herself. As time has gone on it appears that the Three Factions are going to be making peace soon so Dad had the brilliant idea of announcing that we're well and good.
"He's right sweetie." I turn and see Mom coming my way. "You've worked hard to get to where you are, and those devils won't cause any issues even if they find out you're a demon."

Mom used to be a princess but after some things were happening in her kingdom she met my dad and all of his friends, the knights known as the Seven Deadly Sins. As the name suggests each of them had a sin that they held the burden of and they each had an animal imprinted on their bodies as a constant reminder of their pasts. Dad has a dragon on his arm up near his shoulder, a reminder of his wrath. I've met the other members and they're all like aunts and uncles to me, and I've learned each of their stories. While the Seven Deadly Sins may not be a group anymore I'm carrying the name on. While I haven't found my specific sin it seems that I may end up being the one who feels all seven of them at one time or another.
