A Week Later

The morning after Serafall and I had sex she teleported home before I woke up, leaving me a note before she did. It basically told me that she would keep the secret about Diodora for me and that I could do whatever I had to so I could take out the Old Satan Faction, even going into the Sitri domain if I had to. Most of the time I spent trying to find a place where I wouldn't be noticed if I attacked the two remaining members, and although it wasn't easy, I was able to find a place on the outskirts of the domain where nothing is going on. Since that point, it's been a lot of training and making sure my new peerage is on top of everything. They're much stronger than I had remembered, and it makes it a lot easier for me now that they're on my side.

This morning is the day I'm supposed to meet Kuroka again, but I'm not sure if I'm being investigated for the death of Diodora so I'm a little bit hesitant to leave. Basara knocks at my door and I allow him in. He closes the door and comes my way.

"So you're going to see that member of the Khaos Brigade today, right?" I nod to him.

"She's the only way I'll be able to take those other two old Satans out. Besides, I've offered her the chance to reconnect with her sister. That being said, are you all going to head out to get what I need for that?"

"We'll leave the same time as you are. We're all going together in case this is a trap, but from what you've told me I don't have anything to worry about." I put my hand on his shoulder.

"Thanks, Basara. I'm sorry you're getting involved in my mess." He shakes his head at me.

"Save it Y/N. If it's helping you out then I've got no issues with it, especially now that we're all serving under you. I'll go make sure everyone is ready and we'll make our way out." He leaves and I grab my sword before leaving to talk to Sirzechs, but before I can get to the door someone knocks.

"Y/N, it's Rias." I don't really have time for this, but I can't just tell her no.

"Come in," I tell her. "What can I do for you?"

"I just wanted to check on you. I can't help but notice you've been kind of distant recently." She comes my way and looks into my eyes. "Is there something bothering you?"

"Rias, you're too kind. I assure you, I'm feeling fine. There's a lot going on right now, and currently I can't tell you about it, but it will all come to light in due time." She sits at the end of my bed.

"I see what is going on. You're always quick to help everybody else that you're afraid of asking for help yourself. Are your sins weighing down on you again?" I sit down next to her and lean my head on her shoulder.

"Yes, they are. I did something about a week ago, and if I told you not only would I get in trouble, but you would hate me. I can't properly explain why I did it, but I can't think straight since what happened. It doesn't help that I haven't seen my family in weeks. My dad has always said, 'No matter what you've done, you can always come and talk to me Y/N. Nothing you do would ever make me feel lesser about my own son, and I know your mother feels the same way.' I want nothing more than to tell him what I did, but I can't. He's always been the person I've striven to be like, even if I want to make a name for myself. It isn't just him who has been that way with me either. Ban, Elaine, Diane, King, all of the Sins would be right here telling me it's okay, that I've done nothing wrong. The way I am now I can't even face it." Rias gives me a hug.

"I'm so sorry Y/N. You're not alone here, you have me. If my household was here they would all tell you the same thing, and so would Sona's. You always make it your mission to make everyone else happy, but when it comes to yourself, you're quick to act like you don't need the same thing. If you want to talk to me I would listen to you if you needed me. You've been an amazing friend to me, and I want to do the same thing for you." I stand up and stretch.
