"Okay, here goes." She grabs my hands and stares directly into my eyes. "Y/N, I'm pregnant." Serafall's eyes dart away from mine, almost like she's worried about my reaction to her news. I put my arms around her and it feels like she's about to cry.

"Serafall," I whisper, "that's fantastic news." She looks back into my eyes. "I'm glad that nothing happened when you got between Issei and I earlier. Would it be too much to ask for you to take it easy for a while?" Her face is overcome with a huge smile and she pushes me down onto the bed.

"Of course I will silly boy." She kisses me on the cheek. "I love you so much Y/N!"

"I love you too Serafall." She lays down and cuddles up next to me. "I can't wait to see whether we have a boy or a girl. How long have you known?"

"I've known for a couple of weeks, I just wanted to wait until things had calmed down to tell you. I didn't want you to worry about it while everything else was getting sorted out." 

"It's a shame though," I respond. "Sona won't get to meet her niece or nephew, at least not anytime soon. I'm starting to wonder if I'll be able to fix what's happened." I summon Saji's Sacred Gear and look down at my arm and get a smirk on my face. "Safe to say that there's going to be a hunting party after me at some point soon. I guess if they want to come after me then I'll let them. They've got Ten Commandments to face should they want my head." Serafall perks up at what I said. "That's what I was talking about with Dad and the others. Thankfully I've got a good group working alongside me."

"What Commandment are you Y/N?" I kiss her on the forehead.

"The Commandment of Love of course. What other options would there have been anyway?" She smiles at me and I start rubbing her tummy. "There's a lot that I'll have to do so I can protect the Demon Realm, but I'll be by your side as much as I possibly can."

"Don't worry about all of that Y/N. Between you and the others working to make the realm a better place I'll be happy to live here. Besides, I know there are plenty of people that can help me throughout the process while you're gone. You just worry about making the realm a safe place so that by the time our child is born you can be here for everything. Now enough talking, hold me and let's go to sleep." I roll my eyes and do as she asks.

The Next Day

I wake up with Serafall sprawled out around me. Even in her sleep, she has a smile on her face, and I can't help the one that lands on my lips. I give her a kiss on the forehead and sneak my way out of bed, leaving her a note that I'll be back soon. Once I leave my room I see Dad coming down the hallway towards me.

"Glad to see you're up already son, we've got some work to do."

"I know," I respond. We start walking down the hallway.

"I heard the news last night," Dad tells me, "congratulations. You're going to have to step it up a lot for her now, just so you know."

"I'm well aware Dad. Whatever I have to do to protect this realm and Serafall, I'll do in a heartbeat. It's clear that I've stirred up a ton of trouble, but that's why I'm going to be the one who gets us out of this mess." Dad and I reach the end of the hallway and he opens the door, leading to the same meeting hall we were in last night, with Zeldris and Tristan still there.

"Good morning brother," Tristan says to me. "Honestly I wasn't sure that you would be up this early."

"I learned something last night. I'm going to be a father, and I need to do everything I can to protect this realm."

"You've got quite the commitment to the cause," Zeldris speaks. "To think that you've grown so much in such a short amount of time. I hope that you aren't wearing yourself out stealing all of those Dragon Sacred Gears."
