We stepped out of the car and the men aimed their guns.

"Well isn't that a nice way to greet someone?" I said sarcastically. "Please do take our greeting."

I felt my inner vampire take control a bit more. The hunters noticed and shot at Stacy and I. We each had our own dodging tactics, her being the block instead of dodge and I being the one who prefers jumping over. I did exactly that and landed right behind the hunter. Fuck! This was fun. I missed this. I swung around, bat on shoulder. It hit the hunter straight on the head and made him lose his balance. He stumbled forward and grabbed his head. There was of course, unfortunately no blood drawn but I decided that to be the better option. The other hunter I had forgotten about grabbed my arm.

"How rude of you," I said "I did not consent to you grabbing me like that!"

The hunter hesitated and I hit him with the bat which was with my other arm. He fell backward.

"I am a pure lady." I said confidently.

"Rei, you literally have kids." Stacy reminded as she flung over her opponent and knocked him out with a strike to the right temple. The hunter from before flung dirt at Stacy to try and blind her for a while then charged me. Stacy dodged the dirt and flung away some stray dirt that was getting close to her hat.

"That doesn't mean I can't be pure!" I replied while dodging the hunter and uppercutting him in the stomach.

"Tell that to the church." She joked.

"Aren't you two in highschool?" The hunter that was on the ground interrupted by shouting.

"Yeah, so?" I asked.

"How do you have kids? And how do both of you have experience in fighting?"

"The war, duh!" I rolled my eyes. "Get a load of this guy, acting as if he doesn't remember at least one of us, you specifically."

"I know right? These two don't seem to remember either." Stacy agreed as she punched the other hunter in the face, knocking him out as well.

"The war? You two were in it? But you're so young!"

"Didn't matter to your hunters when they killed my partner and tried killing me. He was only seventeen!"

"Wha-" I cut him off with a kick to his jaw, probably dislocating it and definitely knocking him out.

"Anyway, just because I have kids doesn't mean I can't be pure!" I said.

"And like I said, tell that to the church." Stacy rolled her eyes before repeating. The hunter barely fell down.

"Yeah, yeah." I pouted. The hunter falling made me remember about a time a while ago. "Remember when Priscilla got so black out drunk she fell into the pool and twisted her ankle?"

"What?" She asked before realising what I meant and burst out laughing. "And we had to fish her out of the pool but she didn't want out because she said she was flying?"

We started laughing really loudly.

"And then Jason had to jump in and get her out!"

I had to use the car to stand up while Stacy was choking from the lack of air. After a few minutes of intense laughing, we heard Josh coming and managed to learn how to breathe again. After the laughing subsided, we climbed in the car and made our way to school. 7:40 AM.

Luckily, our school wasn't that far from where our little detour had taken place. Josh parked the car in the parking lot and we rushed into the office, asking for Stacy's schedule. The bell rang for students to find their classes. It was as piercing to the ears as always. I looked over to Stacy who covered her ears from the bell.
