Stacy clung onto my arm and rested her head on my shoulder as we were walking. I could feel my heart rate increasing. I think she could feel it too because she looked up at me.

"Are you okay? Your heartbeat is going really fast." She asked, her fangs poking just out of her mouth.

"I-I'm fine! Let's just go somewhere to get a bite or something.." I replied, my nervousness making my voice tremble. I looked away.

"Let's go to Aunt Jennie's. I'm sure she and her husband would be happy to see I've woken up." Aunt Jennie's was a place where vampires and werewolves could go and not worry about humans finding out about their existence. Aunt Jennie is a vampire that's married to a werewolf. Unusual right?

"Sure."

I felt a small bite on my arm and looked over to see that Stacy had bitten my upper arm, playfully.

"Stop that you little vampire!" I said playfully.

"Shhhhhhh!" She shushed, winking then laughing as she saw that I blushed. "Come on! You blush too easily!"

"Shut up..."

"Aww! Is the little puppy flustered?"

"No.. And stop calling me a puppy. I'm a grown person already."

"Sure.. So then where is your girl? If you're so grown up, where is she?"

"Right next to me.." I murmured under my breath.

"What was that?"

"Nothing." I replied. She giggled then leaned her head on my shoulder again. I could hear her heart rate increase a bit.

We finally got to the restaurant around ten minutes later. We walked in as Aunt Jennie was serving a family of three werewolves. When she looked up to see who was at the door, her eyes widened and were gleaming with happiness.

"Stacy!" She squealed.

"Hey, auntie!" Stacy said as she jogged over to hug her.

"You've finally woken up! And I see Jason's with you." Aunt Jennie noticed between their hug.

"Yep," she agreed as she broke the hug to ruffle my hair. "This little puppy came to see me as soon as I woke up."

"Aww! Isn't that cute."

"Why my hair..?" I mumbled. "And stop calling me puppy!"

"Nope!" Stacy giggled as Aunt Jennie laughed a bit.

"Well anyway, do you two want something to eat?"

"Yes please!" Stacy replied with pleading eyes, her eyes twinkled like a child just remembered something about a christmas gift..

"I'm guessing the usual?"

"Yep."

"Okay, I'll be back in a bit. You two may sit in the far corner to the right."

"Thanks." We say as we walk over.

A bit later we smell the food we usually get. Well that I get, I get a bowl of warm raw beef stew and Stacy gets a vanilla-cinnamon-blood latte with small chunks of bloody ice in them.

"Here you go, enjoy!" Aunt Jennie said as she set down our food and latte.

"Thanks." Stacy and I thanked.

"Sure, just call me over when you need me,'kay?" She asked.

"Yep, you got it." Stacy replied while I shoved a spoonful of the stew into my mouth. She walked away and got another customer's order.
