*Sky's View*

My ears filled with the sound of constant beeping. I could feel a tube in my nose, the tube that goes into my stomach. A plastic breathing mask is covering my nose and mouth. My body is covered by a hospital gown and bedsheets. My lungs fill with the smell of plastic. Even though I'm asleep or passed out, I can still hear.

That's how I know that I'm in the hospital. That's how I know that my dad is in the room with me. That's how I know that I'm not alone. I slowly opened my eyes. The room around me is dim. The lights are on the dimmest setting. I looked to my left. That's when I saw my dad. He is sitting down in a chair. His head and his arms on the side of the bed.

I looked at my hand before I put my hand on top of dad's arm. His head bolted up and looked at me. He smiled at me as he saw that I was awake.

"Hey, baby. How are you feeling?" dad asked, making me think even more about how I'm feeling. "My throat is sore," I said, my voice hoarse. He nodded his head as he got up from the chair that he was sitting in. "I'll be right back," he said before he kissed my forehead.

I smiled at him before he walked out of the room. I put my head back down on the pillow. I feel so weak. My throat is dry from the mask that is covering my nose and mouth. I looked to my right to see the door that leads into the room that I'm in.

Dad walked back into the room with a doctor. "Hi, Miss. Carter. I understand your throat hurts." the doctor said as dad returned to the side that he was in when I first woke up.

I nodded my head. "Do you think you can breathe without that mask?" the doctor asked as he walked over to me. I nodded my head again. He gave me a weak smile before he carefully pulled the mask off my face. I took a few deep breaths of air that doesn't smell of plastic.

Once he knew that I could breathe on my own, he turned the air tank off. "Can I have water, so my throat isn't dry?" I asked. "No, sorry. You can not drink anything until we know that your stomach is pumped all the way." the doctor said.

I nodded my head, telling him that I understand. He gave me a smile before he walked out of the room leaving me with my dad. I looked over at him. "Who's with Grace and Luke?" I asked. "Phil is. I called him before the ambulance showed up."

I nodded as my eyes started to slowly close. I fought to keep them open. "It's okay, kiddo. You can fall asleep." Dad said. I hummed a response before I closed my eyes. Dad started to run his hand through my hair. I smiled as I slowly fell asleep.

*Klaus' View*

I looked at almost everyone before I found a nurse. I put my hands on her shoulder and looked at her. "Where can I find Skylar Carter?" I asked while using compulsion. "Room 132," she answered. I smiled and moved her out of my way. I looked at every room number before I found 132. I took a deep breath before I knocked on the wall.

A man that was in the room looked at me before he got up. He looked at the bed making me look over at it. That's when I saw her. My small, young mate, fast asleep with her back facing me. I looked at the man. "Can I help you?" he asked. "Yeah, I'm Klaus. Is she okay?" I asked.

"Not to be rude, but why are you worried about my daughter?" He asked. I nodded my head as I realized that I'm talking to my mate's father.

"I'm here mate. I meet her early today at the cafe she works at. I know and or work for Phil Coulson. He informed me and a few other people about what happened. So, how is she?" I asked again.

He took a breath and turned to face her. "She's hanging in there. She's strong, just like her mom," he said. "I'm Henry by the way. If you haven't noticed, I'm her dad," he added.

"Do the doctors know what's happening to her?" I asked as I crossed my arms. Henry leaned against the wall, his eyes not leaving her sleeping body. "Someone gave her food poisoning, I already know where she got it from. I just don't know who gave it to her." Henry said.

I looked at him, then back at my mate. "Is she going to be okay?" I asked, knowing what the effects of food poison can do to someone. "Yeah, she's going to be okay. Since I got her help right away, all they have to do is finish pumping her stomach and make sure that she can keep a meal or any type of food down." He answered.

"But at the moment she's so weak. She could barely keep her eyes open. She is completely drained." he added.

"Well, food poisoning can do that to someone," I said. I looked over at him. "Well, here's my number. If anything happens, please give me a call." I said as I grabbed a card from my pocket. I handed it to him. "Will do." He said as he grabbed it. I looked at him before I looked at my mate.

I took a breath before I was about to leave. "Wait." Henry said, making me stop. "She's waking up. Would you like to talk to her?" He asked. I took a few steps back before I looked at him. I looked back at my mate. Only to see her rubbing her eyes open. I smiled and walked over to her left side. I sat down in the chair that was by the side of the bed. I grabbed her hand and looked at her.
