Percy
Going to Goode for the past week was torture. Sure, I had friends there, but no one really knew me. Until, of course, Annabeth came to New York. I loved the fact that she was here.
That morning, after the outrageously embarrassing photo of me and Annabeth in bed together, she went to get changed. Quickly, I pulled on some black jeans and a blue t-shirt. I opened my bedroom door to the beautiful smell of waffles.
I rushed into the kitchen to find the blue breakfast stacked high on the counter. Then Annabeth walked into the kitchen.
"Wise girl... you look amazing," I commented, stunned. She smiled and tugged on her shirt nervously. She was so cute when she did that.
Then another flash of white light went off from behind her and Annabeth turned around to stare angrily at Thalia
"It was part of my deal with Chiron," Thalia said casually, shrugging
"To take photos?" Annabeth asked sceptically,
"Photos of you two," She replied, gesturing to the two of us,
"Why would Chiron ask you to do that?" I demanded.
"Because it's Chiron," She said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. Annabeth looked at me for an explanation - as if I would have one - and I looked back at her, confused
"What does that mean?" I asked.
"It means, Kelp head, that Chiron is a huge shipper of you two," she explained impatiently, "Now, no more questions. We have to go to school," She said and headed out the door. What was going on? I followed her out of the door, Annabeth on my heels.
"But... waffles," I said longingly. Thalia laughed,
"It's not my fault that you two lovbirds slept in. Everyone's down at the van," she said and she hopped onto the banister and slid all the way down to the now taped up door and the bottom. I laced my fingers in Annabeth's and we made our way down to the door,
"Finally," said Nico quietly as he got into the van. I rolled my eyes at him and climbed in after him. The ride to school was short and the tension was unbearable.
We pulled up just outside of the gates. I stepped out and flung my arm around Annabeth's shoulder. When we went in, many people stared and most girls pointed to me and whispered something to their friend.
"Do I have something on my face?" I asked Annabeth quietly. She and Thalia shared a look and both tried to refrain from laughing,
"What?" I asked, but they were too busy 'not laughing'. We carried on walking and getting weird looks, until I realised that everyone was following me.
"Umm... what?" I said. They all sighed exasperatedly,
"They have to go to the office, Seaweed brain," said Annabeth, "And you're the only one here who knows where that is,"
"Oh," I said, a little embarrassed.
"Don't worry, Percy," Annabeth said quietly to me as we began walking again. Once we had visited the office and everyone else had gotten their locker numbers and schedules we compared them and found that we had a lot of the same classes together.
"Cool, our lockers are all really close together," said Katie excitedly.
"Oh yippee," added Clarrise dryly,
"Annabeth, what's yours?" Grover asked,
"408" Annabeth replied. I grinned,
"What?" Thlia asked, studying my face,
"Ours are next to each others... and not next to yours," I replied. Annabeth's face lit up. She laced her fingers in mine,
"Bye," She said and we began to walk to our lockers, leaving our friends behind.
