Nari's POV
" Oh, Nari and Taeyong! " I turned to see Saena's parents waving at us as they walked over to us with a bright smile on their faces.
I smiled as the both of us bowed to them as a form of greeting. " Your parents didn't come? " I shook my head:
" They have something on. " I said.
" I thought- " Saena's mom was cut off when my teacher told me to get in.
We bid them goodbye as I walked in with Taeyong. We sat down in front of my teacher who was staring sternly at my results.
He looked up, surprised to see Taeyong. " I'm sorry but only guardian or parents is allowed here. " He said and I nudged Taeyong.
" I'm Nari's brother. Here's my identification card and I have my family certificate if you need. " He was about to take it out when my teacher stopped him.
Taeyong pursed his lips, " Your parents can't attend? " I nodded.
" They have something on today. " I said and Taeyong nodded as well.
We were literally almost done with the meeting and was about to get my results when the door slammed opened.
" Lee Nari! " My eyes widened so wide that it's about to come loose.
" M-Mom? " I stood up as she stormed over to us.
Taeyong stood up, looking surprised as well. " Why didn't you tell me about this meeting? Why do I have to hear from Saena's mom? " I looked out at Saena who looked over at me apologetically.
" How badly did you do to lie to me? " She smacked me on the arm several times as I winced in pain.
This is not a proud scene.
" Ma'am, Nari actually did well. " My teacher said causing everyone to pause whatever that they are doing, including me.
My eyes widened, " I did well? What's your definition of well? A passing grade? " He chuckled as he shook his head.
He showed us my report card and damn, I did better than I thought. " Lee Nari, are you sure this is yours? " Taeyong asked as he stared at my results.
" I wonder too. " I said.
My mom sat down, " So will she be able to enter big, established companies after she graduated? " My mom asked with a smile on her face.
" T-That, I'm not so sure. Sometimes working in established companies isn't the best- " My mom cut him off.
" Working in good companies is a good stepping stone for her! " My mom shouted, causing the teacher to look startled.
I nudged her, " T-Thank you for today. " I said as I dragged my mom out of the room while Taeyong collected all the stuff.
" Why didn't you tell me about this meeting? I had to hear from Saena's mom and I ran all the way down here. " She said and I cling onto her arm.
I pouted, " I know you'd be upset with me. "
She furrowed her brows, " You did so well, why would I be upset? " I let out a sigh as I pursed my lips.
