Nari's POV

I ran home and it shows on the screen,

9:49PM.

I was literally panting for my life. I punched in the passcode for the door before opening it and getting into the house. " I'm home! " I screamed.

" Do you have to announce to the world that you're home? " My mom asked as she walked out of the kitchen, shooting daggers at me.

I took out my shoes before replying her, " Yes. "

I was walking to the kitchen to search for some snacks when my mom said, " I heard your CSAT results will be released tomorrow morning. " I stopped walking.

" Yeah. " I replied.

" How do you think you'd do? " She continued asking. To be frank, I don't even have a rough gauge as to how I'd do.

I cleared my throat, " Probably eligible to enter only one university in Seoul. " I could feel my mom's cold glare against my back.

" What did you say? " She asked me in a threatening tone. I could feel chills down my spine as I walked towards the kitchen.

My dad walked out of his room and he saved my life. He looked over at my mom, " Just let her be. She's probably even more scared that you and I are. "

" That's right! " I said, agreeing with my dad.

My mom shook her head in disbelief, " Lee Nari, why aren't you like your brother? " My mom asked.

" According to scientific research, I got my IQ from you so maybe you can ask your- " She glared at me and I shut up.

She let out a sigh, " Who's personality do you resemble? " Without thinking, I replied her.

" Dad. "

" You. "

I looked over at my dad with the most betrayed look. Since young I've always thought my dad and I are like twins but now he's pushing me to my mom?

My mom sneered, " Yes, when times get bad suddenly she's my child and not yours but when does does something good she's your child. "

My dad pursed his lips, " I'm home. " My brother said as the door opened.

" My son! " My mom squealed.

I rolled my eyes, " Incest. "

" Repeat that again! " My mom said and I stuck out my tongue. Thank god my mom doesn't have her rubber slippers like other asian moms.

My brother walked into the house, eyeing us. " We were just talking about my CSAT results tomorrow. " I said and he nod.

" I heard from god himself that you did like shit. " My eyes widened as I threw the pillow next to me over to him, hard.

He caught it as he laughed, " Loser. "

I was about to rush over to teach him a lesson when my mom glared at me and my dad stopped me. I let out a sigh as I sat back down again.

Taeyong looked over at me, " I'm just kidding. You'd do just fine, just not better than me. " I rolled my eyes.

That's for sure.

Taeyong got my dad's IQ so he's extremely smart. Technically he's supposed to get my mom's but I guess god is unfair.

" 9am tomorrow right? " I nod.

" All the best, loser. " He threw the pillow back at me and I caught it as he walked into his room.

I looked over at my parents, " I'm going to go to shower and change into my pyjamas before going to bed! " I stretched my arms up in the air as I walked to the bathroom.

I don't know if anyone here experienced this but I'm the kind of person who doesn't seem to be able to express myself.

Like literally, I can be so stressed out that I'm balding but on the surface I look like so peaceful like a nun.

After showering, I changed into my sloth pyjamas which I absolutely love. I climbed into my bed and went to sleep.

I heard gongs, the sound of metal pots knocking against each other. " Wake up, loser! " Taeyong screamed into my ears.

I shot opened my eyes as I glared at him. " Good morning. " He shot me a smile as I sat right up with my bird nest hair.

No, not the premium bird nest but the abandoned one that no birds would even go near it.

" What time is it? " I asked as I rubbed my eyes to remove all the eye shit that's produced overnight.

" 8:54AM. " He said and my eyes widened.

I jumped out of bed and brushed my teeth before running to the living room. " It's 8:59AM now. " I said as my family sat before me.

" Check! Now! " My dad screamed.

I clicked onto the website and I signed in, praying to at least be eligible for a school in Seoul.

" So? How's your score? " My mom asked.

I bit my lips as I looked up at them, " Never mind. I'll keep the beef. " My mom stood up as she walked to the kitchen.

" I got 324. " My mom popped her head out.

" 324? You got 324? " I nod and they started celebrating because I didn't fail. For your information, CSAT is out of 400.

I looked over at the clock as I went to wash up before changing into a fresh set of outfit. " I'm going out for a bit! " I rushed out of the house.

I'm going for schools open house today with my best friend. We got about the same results so we are going to sign up for the same school.

" Lee Nari! " She screamed as she ran towards me.

She stopped right in front of me with a wide smile on her face. " I can't believe we got almost the same results! " She said as she pant.

" Let's go to the first school! " She dragged my hand and pulled me into this school building.

After going to several schools, it's finally our last school for the day. " Jung Saena? " I turned around and my eyes twinkled.

" Do I know you? " Saena furrowed her brows.

" Don't you remember me? I'm your friend from elementary school. " He grinned.

Saena thought for long, " No. " His smile faded.

" Well, nice to meet you again. I'm Lee Minhyung but you can call me Mark. " He smiled and I instantly fell in love.

" Oh. I'm Saena and this is Nari. " He nod as our eyes met. He looked over at his watch, apologised before running off.

I nudged her, " He is so- " She cut me off.

" Love at first sight? " I shook my head but she knows me better than I know myself so she knows that I'm lying.

" Say hello to your new school. "
