Lyra's POV

Noxus was a few days travel from Demacia and I was extremely grateful for my horse at this point.
As I get closer and closer to Noxus I start to feel the environment and people around me change, villages owned my Noxus seemed wealthy but also very corrupted, it seems to be a  every man for himself or survival of the fittest type of lifestyle.

So I am definitely not expecting any kindness from anyone.
I take a deep breath when I finally saw the big City of Noxus on the horizon, I kept riding on slowly until I reached the big entrance, the gates are open to welcome in any guests with no strict guards like in Demacia so getting in was easy. I rode until I reached the city centre, the city is so busy and the people of the city are loud and carefree.

I get off my horse and tie him to a standing post outside what seems to be a hotel or a tavern.

It's been a while since I've had a decent meal and I need to find a place where I can rent a room to sleep.
I'm grateful now for all the money I've put away over the years, I wouldn't have known what to do if I hadn't. I enter the building and it does indeed seem like a hotel but it also has a tavern on the first floor. I walk to the nearest table and sit down, I see several people look at me, this made me a bit uncomfortable but luckily they soon went back to their business. It wasn't long until a lady approached me, I ask her for a room and if I could take my food in the room, she agreed and asked me to follow her up some stairs to the next floor, once we reached the second floor she took me to my room, as she opened the door she said "Here you go dear, you can find me later and pay a deposit for your stay, in the meantime I'll bring your food up for you"

I smiled at her and just nodded my head, my first encounter here hasn't been all that bad, this lady has been nice enough so far.

As I walk into the room I can see a big bed in the center of the room the bed has a frame and a net over, probably used to keep bugs out during the night. Against the one wall is a dressing table and a cupboard with drawers, on the other wall is a door probably leading to the privy and straight in front of me on the other side of the bed is a door that leads out to a small balcony, the minute I saw the balcony I start to make my way out, the sun started to set and as I look over the city I see small lights from candles in people's homes, it looked so beautiful, the city does have a charm despite its reputation. In the distance I can hear music coming from drums and trumpets, and some people singing and laughing. I couldn't help to smile, finally I felt at ease, these last couple of days has been a nightmare and I'm very ready to get some proper rest.

It wasn't long and the lady from earlier brought my food, I paid her what I owe for the room and the food.
After I ate and washed up I got into bed, lucky the linen smells fresh. It put my mind a bit more at ease for sleeping in a strange bed, almost as soon as my head hit the pillow I started to feel sleepy and I knew I would fall asleep fast, my body is tired from the traveling and my mind is exhausted from thinking about the events from the past days.

The next day I would go look for a place to sell my horse as Sylas suggested and then I would look at perhaps getting a job at the tavern downstairs.

The next morning

Still Lyra's POV

The soft warmth of the sun on my cheek woke me up, followed by the smell of freshly baked bread. I open my eyes slowly so they can adjust to the light and stretch my arms out above my head. I really did sleep well, it's been a while since I've slept in a comfortable bed, most nights I spent sleeping next to a camp fire or rather barely sleeping, I was so worried the entire time that someone was going to sneak up on me in my sleep.

But now I feel surprisingly safe, with that I thought about my mom and Blair they must be so worried. It should write to them, not that I'm sure how I'll get the letter to them, but nonetheless I threw on a robe grabbed a feather,  ink-pot and a piece of paper that was on the dressing table and made my way to the balcony.

The city is already fully functioning and I can hear the sound of vendors selling their goods, children laughing and horse hooves filling the air around me. I stretch my arms out again before sliding into the seat by the small coffee table, with a deep breath I begin to write.

Dear Mom and Blair

I don't know how I'll get this letter to you but I'll find a way.

I miss you two so very much and long for the day that I'll see you again, but for now you need not worry about me, I made it to Noxus in one piece and for now I'm safely staying at a hotel. The people are very different than what I'm use to but I feel surprisingly safe here and I  hope the two of you are safe as well, please carry on with your lives as best you can, I'll see you again.

Love Lyra

After writing my letter I went to freshen up and got dressed.

I decided to wear something that says "don't mess with me" but still looks elegant and stylish.

Afterwards I took my letter and made my way downstairs, I decided to go to the market place in search of breakfast and on my way out I saw someone putting a letter in a box by the door with post written on it, it seem like you just put your letter...

Afterwards I took my letter and made my way downstairs, I decided to go to the market place in search of breakfast and on my way out I saw someone putting a letter in a box by the door with post written on it, it seem like you just put your letter in the box and someone delivers it, as I wanted to drop my letter into the box I got stopped by the hotel lady, "Haha no sweetie you'll need to write a address on the letter for it to be delivered" She says. Right, my bad, I smile at her and feel my cheeks turn red with embarrassment. I  quickly write the address on the envelope and drop my letter into the post, then I made my way into the city.

As I reached the market place my mouth fell open, while taking in the sight and smells, the diffrent foods smells amazing and everywhere I look are stalls with different stuff for sale. You can buy everything from food and clothes to weapons, potions and magical ingredients. I instinctively walked over to the magic stall, for the first time I wasn't afraid to let someone know I'm a sorceress.
