TMNT (Leo x Karai Leorai)

Chapter 8

Master Splinter had finally seen enough from Mikey, Leo, Donnie, and Raph to decide that they were able to go on patrol as humans.

All 4 brothers suited up along with Karai, Shini, Casey and April.

All the brothers were in black ninja pants, a color of gi matching the color the mask they still wore around their eyes.

Before they left for patrol, Splinter stopped them.

"Leonardo I would like to talk to you about something in the dojo, it won't take along the rest of you just wait here." Splinter said as he led Leo to the dojo.

"What do you want to talk about Master Splinter?" Leo asked.

"I would like to pass something down to you." Splinter said as he pulled out a box.

"What is it?" Leo asked as he was handed the box.

"It is something that has been handed down through the Homato clan." Splinter asked as Leo opened the box.

"It's a mask?" Leo said surprised as he held up a mask.

"Yes it symbolizes that you are the leader of the Homato clan." Splinter said.

"Then shouldn't you have it?" Leo asked extending the mask to Splinter.

"No Leonardo you have proven yourself worthy and I would like you to have it." Splinter said.

"Thank you sensai, I won't let you down." Leo said as he put the mask on and headed back to the team.

"I know you won't." Splinter said as he watched Leo depart.

"Ok let's go guys." Leo said as he walked back to his team.

They all stared at him for a minute.

"What is it the mask?" Leo asked.

They all nodded before his brothers and Casey burst out laughing while the girls tried not to laugh.

"Here let me help you with it." Karai said as she stood on her tip toes to reach Leo's face and rearranged his mask.

"There we go." Karai said as she stepped back from Leo.

Leo's mask now covered all of his face up to right below his eyes.

"Ok let's go now." Leo said as he and the rest of the team headed out.

"Ok guys we'll split into groups and we'll meet back here in 15 minutes." Leo said as they all separated from the roof they were on.

(Donnie POV)

Donnie and April moved across the rooftops until something caught Donnie's attention.

"April we're being watched." Donnie said as they both stopped and looked around.

Just as he said that a ball of gunk was shot at April, Donnie was able to push her out of the way and get out of the way himself.

Baxter Stockman then appeared hovering across the rooftop from them.

"Stockman." Donnie said.

"Turtle you're human now that's hilarious." Baxter Stockman said laughing.

Donnie and April both rushed at him.

Baxter focused his attention his Donnie so April was able to take Stockman by surprise and knock him over the roof.

In a desperate attempt Stockman grabbed April's arm pulling her down with him.

Luckily Donnie grabbed her arm before she could fall off the roof.
