Kenma was crying into Kuroo's shirt he was saying things like
"I don't deserve you" and

"sorry for being a burden"

, but every time he would say something like that kuroo would shut it down with stuff like

"Don't say that,I love you Kenma so much more than you'll ever know" or

"Kenma your not a burden you make my life easier just by being here"
and he would whisper
"I love you Kenma kozume,so much". When they cuddled that night both of their hearts had unlocked a new feeling for eachother or at least they realized what that feeling is.

Present day(kenma's birthday)
Kenma's pov
"Time to get up kitten~" I hear kuro say
"I told you to stop calling me that"I murmur trying to hide my embarrassment.

I get up reluctantly and see kuro smiling at me before him saying, "happy birthday!"

"I kinda forgot" I lied, in reality I've been stressing about my birthday for a while.

I started getting out of bed and getting my volleyball clothes on. "Wow your actually getting ready without me having to tell you!" I'm honestly just doing this to distract myself "Shut up.."

"hey are you okay? ,you've been acting weird recently."

"Yeah I fine ,also I haven't been acting weird"

that's a lie I'm not fine I'm so scared about who my soulmate is ,it can't be kuro because I've already felt my soulmate and his birthday hasn't passed yet..which makes me sad. "Hey kitten we have to get going"

"okay but stop calling me that name."

Time skip to morning practice
Still Kenma pov
During morning practice Yaku and lev came up to me "hey." Said yaku "happy birthday kenmaaaa."lev exclaimed. "So since today is your 17th birthday how about y- " How about you write to your soulmate!"

Lev interrupted Yaku earning a glare from me and him,after that lev backed down and apologized..a lot. "Anyways what he said, are you going to write to your soulmate." "Well yeah but I don't have a pen on me" gasp "i have one!" Lev yelled as he stood up and handed me one " thank you?" I thought for a moment before figuring out what you write down.

My face heated up when he drew a heart again ,and I could tell kuro noticed because when I looked at him he smirked and put a thumbs up, I just rolled my eyes and got back to stretching.

"AHHH OMG I CANT BELIEVE I JUST TALKED TO MY SOULMATE" I yelled "that's exciting." Akaashi said "I KNOW RIGHT HEHE" I said in a giggling fit.

"Everyone gather up!" Their coach yelled.
When everybody was there he started up,"okay so we have a practice match with fukurodani next week on Friday, so we have two weeks to practice okay." Everyone nodded and said "yes!"

During class Kenma and Bokuto just kept writing to each other, by the end of the day They both had words all over their arms and legs.

When Kenma walked into practice everyone stopped and stared at him. "Omg.."

When bokuto walked in some people were laughing while others were shocked.

After the practice they talked all night long and during the two weeks of practice they both showed up to school with words on their wrists.

They decided after every conversation they would wash their arms off so it wouldn't end up like last time when they were covered in words.

Kenma had gotten the nickname Ken-Ken and Bokuto had gotten the nickname Bo.
