"please robbie." i said with tears streaming down my face.
"it's okay nai, you can move on. i won't be mad i promise. i'll be watching you, smiling happily." robbie said as he caressed my cheek gently.
"i can't." i replied staring into robbie's eyes.
i couldn't process what was happening. my boyfriend was about to die.
"you're gonna have to move on nailea." robbie whispered back.
robbie looked at me and smiled softly. i knew that he knew it was about to happen.
before i could say anything else robbie's heart monitor started to beep. i glanced at robbie who was struggling to breath and i immediately pressed the emergency button while sobbing.
"fuck what the fuck" i shouted while through muffled sobs.
the nurses came rushing in, as one of then grabbed me telling me i needed to leave the room.
i couldn't breath, i couldn't process what was happening.
not even a minute passed and i saw robbie's mom, dad, and 9 year old sister.
struggling to breath i ran up to his mom and hugged her tightly.
"i'm so sorry." i whispered into his moms ear with my head on her shoulder, trying to catch my breath.
"it's not your fault nailea. don't ever think that." robbie's mom, julia whispered back.
but i couldn't stop thinking about it.
