Lila Jane POV
I waited patiently as my... er... gem... rang softly, signifying that I was calling somebody. Hopefully Harley, but I wasn't at all sure, really.

Just as I was giving up hope, the gem spoke. Or, whatever it was that the gem was doing.

HELLO? UM, WHO IS THIS?

"Harley...?"

UP, THAT DEPENDS ON WHO'S CALLING...

"It's Lila Jane Duchannes. The one you offered to help...?"

UM... RIGHT. SO, WHAT DID YOU NEED...?

"I'm.... Sort of... trapped..."

WHAT?

And so I explained everything, as briefly as I could. I explained how, after she left, the crazy... man-thing-whatever-he-was-called, (she reminded me that he was calledBradford Briggs, the Guardian, and I didn't bother asking who that made him) had left me in the tunnel-thing, and how my cousins ex-boyfriend had trapped me. Then I explained the gem.

"So, what should I do?!"

HMM... OKAY. I'LL BE THERE SOON.

"Are you sure...? He's looking for you, too, Harley."

YEAH, YEAH. I'M SURE. LET'S JUST SAY THAT IF THIS LIAM IS WHO I THINK HE IS, THEN I HVE AN AX TO GRIND AGAINST HIM. HE DID SOMETHING AWFUL TO ME, AND I NEED TO MAKE SURE HE PAYS.

"Why? What did he do to you?"

WELL... IT WAS ABOUT THREE YEARS AGO. HE HADN'T BEEN CLAIMED YET, AND HE WAS THIRTEEN, THE SAME AGE MY LITTLE SISTER AMBER WAS AT THE TIME. THEY WERE... DATING...

"And?"

AND NOTHING. I SHOULDN'T HAVE SAID ANYTHING. FORGET I BROUGHT IT UP.

"No. Tell me." I knew messing with a Dark Caster was bad, but I didn't really think she would hurt me. But then again... She was still Dark.

I heard her sigh, and knew she would tell me. For whatever reason, she didn't want to fight.

HE HAD AN OLDER BROTHER. DID YOU KNOW? HIS NAME WAS THOMAS. BUT THOMAS DIED. LIAM BLAMED AMBER. NOW, MIND YOU, AMBER WOULD NOT HURT A FLY. BUT LIAM DIDN'T BELIEVE THAT. HE... HE KILLED HER.

I could tell she was choking back sobs. I think she was the only Dark girl with a peasant personality. Unless...

"How old are you?" If she was sixteen, then she was still transforming and such. Which meant she could go full blown Dark anytime now.

This was when I would find out if she was friend or foe, truly.

I waited, holding my breath.

NINETEEN.

A/N: so, how was your day?
Mine was horribly dramatic and awful.
Well bye.
