1) The Beater. In the books, Link drives a beat-up car called the Beater.
2) The Snows and the Ashers. Lena is always bullied by Savannah Snow and Emily Asher.
3) Mrs. English. In the books, their English teacher is named Mrs. English.
4) Last names. You may have noticed that Macon and Lila Jane, brother and sister, have different names. That's because in the Duchannes family, girls keep the last name, "Duchannes", but boys take their father's name.
