Chapter 30: Run!

Lila Jane POV

I had called Harley an hour ago, and I knew time was running out. Where was she?

Luckily, I barely had time to finish that thought, as Harley, in all her glory, rode in on - what else? - a Harley Davidson. I wasn't even going to bother wondering how she got that in here.

"Lila Jane!" She whispered excitedly. "Where's Liam? And the other one? Christian?"

"They went to plot something evil. I don't know! Please just help me out before they come back!"

"Too late," Liam said, appearing suddenly. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Harley Stevenson. Been a while."

"Not long enough," Harley said sassily.

"Why so negative?" He asked.

Christian, who was still such a mystery to me, was busting himself with plugging in cords and whatnot.

Liam was clearly very wrapped up in his whole, 'maybe I can kill these girls' plan.

So neither of them noticed as Harley, still bickering with Liam, inched over to me ever so slightly.

I saw that she had a backpack, and it looked full.

She reached her hands into her back pocket and pulled out a skeleton key.

I have no where she came across one of those, but I didn't care. She slipped it discreetly into my hands just as Liam frowned and said, "I don't remember you standing that close to my captive... HEY!"

"You idiot!" Christian exclaimed.

Harley, eyes big, spun around and tossed me her backpack just as I got free.

"Take it!" She said.

"What do I do?"

She looked at Liam and Christian.

"Run."

"Okay, let's go!"

But, seeing her expression, I realized she meant I had to run. For whatever reason, she was staying.

"Harley, I'm not leaving you here... you saved me..."

Liam and Christian were advancing.

"Lila Jane..." she whispered. "You don't even know me..."

"Yet you came back to save me."

"Kid, trust me. I came back for me. Not you. It was selfish. Now please,"  Liam and Christian were two feet away, "RUN!"

I wanted to stay. I wanted to fight.

But I had to be logical.

So I ran.

A/N: soooo that would be the end...
Of book one. That was fun. I hope.

I will put book two up tomorrow, because school got canceled thanks to SNOW. :) YAY.

I will maybe put like a link up, so watch for one last update tomorrow, where i will at least say the name of book two.
