Lila Jane POV
I had just finished recounting everything to Anton. Currently, I was curled up at his side, crying.
It'll be okay, LJ.
No it won't.
I know.
Then why did you say it would be?
Because... I love you.
"That makes no sense!" But I love you, too, Anton. And... did we just say our first I love you's?
Possibly. Wow. Things were moving fast...
He looked at me. "If there was some way that we could save Jezebel, you know I'd help you find it."
"I know."
We lay like that for a while, but then I had an idea. A dangerous idea, but and idea nonetheless.
"Anton! The Book of Moons!"
"Um... come again?"
"Maybe there's a spell in there to fix Jez!"
"Well... I'm sure there is. But I'm also sure that that book is the book that cursed all Casters (A/N: remember: in the books, it's just the Duchannes family, in the story, it's all Casters x) and all that. And didn't your mom have a run in with that book when she was a teenager?"
"Yeah, yeah. She brought my dad back from the dead once or twice, accidentally killed Uncle Macon, except he wasn't really dead, blah blah blah. But that's why we'd also get the Book of Stars."
"I don't know. Do you even know where they are?"
"No... they got lost after my parents got married. But maybe we can find them! It's her only hope, Anton. Please. She's my best friend."
Slowly, he nodded. "Alright. I'll help you find the books."
I squealed like a little girl. "Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!" I then proceeded to hug him with a death grip.
"No problem," he responded when I let go.
"Just let me head home and pack, I guess. Ravenwood has an entrance to the Tunnels, so we can travel through there."
He nodded. "I'll meet you there in an hour?"
"fifty-nine minutes," I responded jokingly.
He laughed. "See you then."
"See you."
