Like every day Aria ran between the tents. Like every day the children ran around too. Had fun, for a long time. They had suffered a lot. Everyone had this. Each in their own way.

Like every day, Aria looked around to see him maybe. Every day that she didn't know how he was doing. Whether he was still alive bothered her and her hope faded a little. She would give anything to finally see and hug him again, talk to him, tousle his hair, feel his arms around her and feel the feeling of love and family. The girl sighed. She was caught up in her wish to see him again one day. She missed him.

A lot.

The girl sighed and shook her head and continued on her way. When she got to Jonas' tent, she took a deep breath and entered the tent. "Anything new?" she asked immediately.

She was preparing to hear a no. "Yes!" He sighed.

"What!? What do they want to do?" She asked immediately. She was curious but also afraid of what WICKED was up to again.

"They want to bring the children out in the maze. But not by helicopter or something, the children should manage it alone. They don't close the gates anymore and let the grievers come. Janson and Paige have discussed that in any case," he said and turned to her.

"Shit! Why all of a sudden? Why now?" she asked softly.

"One group made it out of their own accord without tutoring," he sighed.

"Which?"

"Group B!" Replied Jonas.

"Are they already in the secure WICKED building that's in the Scorch?" she asked.

"Nope! But they want to ship the children there. As I heard, this evening. So that they arrive in the morning if possible, because of the cranks."

"That could be difficult. We have to intercept them. Best in the middle of the way, there wouldn't be so many soldiers and we would have more chances of not losing people." the girl planned, "I'll go to Vince and tell him right away! "

She ran out of the tent to Vince. Like every morning he was in the infirmary with Mary. The girl grinned. He loves her, but every time she ask Mary about it, Mary denies it. Did she have to make it that complicated?

"VINCE!" The girl yelled as she stormed into the tent.

"Aria! I'm right next to you.", He covered his ears. Just like Mary. She stood in front of her table and mixed a few liquids together.

"So what?" Aria grinned.

"Do you want my eardrums to burst?" He looked at her sternly.

"But that would be good! Then you could spend more time here. With a certain person!" The girl whispered in his ear and winked at him. His face turned reddish. She grinned innocently.

"What did you want!", Mary asked curiously, "Oh! Vince? Are you okay? You're all red!"

"Uh... Uh... Just a little sunstroke.", He exclaimed. Aria giggled.

"What did you want now, Aria?" He turned back to Aria.

"WICKED is planning to drive the children out of the maze. With the grievers. Since a group has supposedly already made it without tutoring. This group will bring the children to the new WICKED building, which is in the scorch. We have to try to free a few," she explained.

"You can forget that! You are guaranteed not to leave me!", Mary interfered.

"Mary! This is a conversation between Vince and me!" Aria sighed.

"Aria! You're not going there!" Mary shouted and threw a rag that she had in hand on the floor.

"Mary! Conversation between Vince and me! Not you!" Aria said slowly, pointing at the man and her.

"I don't really care! I don't want to lose you, Aria! You are my everything!", Pleaded Mary.

"I don't want to lose you either, but what if my brother was there? What if I finally saw him again! I haven't seen him for 9 years! For 9 fucking years! I'm not going to miss this chance, just because you act like that here.", Aria screamed, crying.

"Aria! I know how much you miss him. But what if he's not there and is long dead.", Vince interrupted them.

"Exactly if! And I only give up looking for him when he stands in front of me, I don't care dead or alive. And you can't stop me from freeing the children." She whispered brokenly.

"Fine! But take care, darling! I want to see you standing in front of me alive again!" Sighed Mary and nodded to her. The girl let out a whoop and gave Mary a big hug.

"Thanks Mary!" she grinned, kissed her cheek and ran out of the tent.

She just heard Vince say, "Was that such a good idea?" But by then she had already reached the improvised training ground that they had set up. Close combat was being practiced there.

"HEY! We have a mission to complete!" Aria yelled through the training ground. A few turned to her and trotted towards her. A few others continued to fight. Should be fine with her.

"What mission?" Adam asked excitedly. He was a muscular boy who, with his clear blue eyes, has turned the heads of many girls. He's been her best friend since she saved him from certain death when a soldier tried to shoot him.

"WICKED is moving some kids to the WICKED building on the scorch today," she explained.

"We can't attack the building, we can shoot ourselves right away. This is pure suicide!" Ryan shouted.

"I didn't say we'd storm the building either. I just said they'd take the kids there. If you let me finish, you'll know what I want to do." she looked into Ryan's eyes urgently. He swallowed.

"Well. Since we can't storm the building, as Ryan pointed out to us, we'll attack them on the way. Jonas has found out that they use buses. There will be 2 buses. We can't take both buses, that's why I suggest that we cut off one bus and lure the other bus away. ", Aria explained, satisfied with herself.

"Are you sure this will work?" Interfered a brown-haired girl.

"If you don't dare, you won't win." She shrugged, "But WICKED soldiers are stupid. One bus will try to chase the other, if they are far enough away we will free the children from the other bus."

"Why not from both buses?" Asked Adam.

"Would be too risky. We can't lose even more people," she sighed.
