"Yah! What you smiling about ice boy hmm?"

Y/N POV
He's only joking right? I hope so... what if he's not... shit.

"Wh-what?" I whisper still looking at his eyes.
"You heard me." His hands tighten on my waist and I feel butterflies in my tummy.
I haven't felt that in a long long time. I'm scared to feel it. Will he hurt me if I let him in? Will he turn away like everybody else does when they see my real side? Will he use me?
Or does he actually care for me? Is he willing to be by my side when I go to my dark place? Is he willing to see the mess inside of me? Will he heal my broken bits?
That's something I'll never find out. I'll never fall for someone again. E.V.E.R.

I push off Sunghoon and stand nearly a metre away glaring at him.

"Fuck off ice boy. You're not fooling me."
"What are you talking about?" He takes a step closer, but when he sees my face he reverses. "Y/n, what is it?"
"Shutup."
"What? Why wont you leave me talk?"
"I said shutup. Dont, please dont act all nice to me. I know exactly what you're playing."

I feel tears form behind my eyes and that's when I know I'm going to lose it. All I can think about is that day. The day my heart broke. The day I lost myself completely.

Flashback
"Cmon baby! Why not?"
"Seo-Hyeon, please dont. I told you I'm not ready."
"Not ready? Seriously y/n. We've been together for two years and I've been waiting the entire time! What more do you want?"
"Please dont force me! I'm sorry but I'm not ready, not right now."
"Y'know what? Fuck you! You're seriously pathetic! We're done ya hear me?" He threw my glass of water at the far wall and it smashed all over my room.
"S-Seo-Hyeon p-please dont do this! I- I'm sorry!"
"Shutup Y/n. You're never gonna find someone to love you!"

With that he walked out slamming the front door behind him.

I walked over to the shards of glass and sat on the floor picking them up piece by piece, vision blurry from the burning tears running down my face.

As I picked up the glass I felt the urge to do something I've never done before. Slowly I rolled up my sleeve and dragged the shard across my forearm drawing blood that pooled onto the floor beneath me. I bit my lip to contain the painful sobs I was close to letting out. It felt relieving. I didnt stop until after I had three long and deep cuts in my arm.

Back to present time
I couldn't hold back my tears as I thought about that day so I turned away from Sunghoon and quietly sobbed.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and I pulled away aggressively.

"Talk to me Y/n. I'll listen."
"No! Just stop playing with me!"
"What the fuck? Why are you like this huh? I want to help. Please leave me. Tell me why you're hurt. Who hurt you this bad?"
"Its none of your business. I don't need your help ice boy."
"Fine then. Even though you're such an asshole to me I'm still willing to be here for you, so dont forget that. I'll listen to what you have to say. I'll be there for you when you need someone okay? Please dont shut yourself away from me."

Why is he doing this? Is this his way of manipulating me? He thinks I'm dumb enough to be swept away by his charms but no. That's where he's wrong.

"Park Sunghoon don't. Why are you doing this to me? Can't you see I'm already in pain? Why must you put me through more huh?"
"Y/n I promise you I'm not up to anything. How can you not see it?"
"I can't see anything good ice boy."
"I'm sorry for that. I'm sorry for every second since we met. I should've noticed your pain. I shouldnt have given you more to be hurt. Can we start over?"
"How stupid do you think I am? Do you think you can really manipulate your way into my heart and use me like a toy? Well I'm terribly sorry to ruin your little plan buddy, but I've been through it all and I know all the tricks of the trade."
"Manipulate my way into your heart and use you like a to- really Y/n? I would never do that! God! Am I really that much of a dick that you thought I'd do that to you?"
"You w-wouldnt? B-but why did you act like that at the start?"
"I- I've been through alot and I was scared. You were this beautiful girl standing in front of me. A beautiful girl who cant see how amazing she is, how much she shines like the stars. You had me the minute I saw you. Once I saw your smile, I knew I was in trouble!"
"N-no. You dont mean that. I- no!"
"Yes I do! What do I have to do to prove it? Hmm?"
"S-Sunghoon, y-you really wanna prove it?"
"Of course!"
"W-well, stay with me."
"What?"
"Dont leave me. Be there for me when I need you."
"That's all I have to do? Y/n I'll do more for you. You're clearly broken and I know you want more from me. I'll give you everything hm?"
"Just stay. That all I ask of you Park Sunghoon, ice boy..."
"I will. Always."
"Always."

Sunghoon wipes away my tears and my heart melted. Did he really want this? Did I? I dont know. Maybe if it ends badly I wont be hurt. Maybe I'm too numb and broken to be hurt again.

We walk out of the alley and towards the park to where our friends were waiting patiently.

3rd person POV
Y/n and Sunghoon carried on walking and every few seconds, Sunghoon would steal glances towards Y/n. He looked at her like she was his entire world. Like she hung the moon and sun and painted the stars in the sky.

To Sunghoon, Y/n was a caterpillar. She was a small fragile being but she will hide herself away for a while to heal, and emerge as a beautiful butterfly ready to conquer the world.

To Y/n, Sunghoon was her knight in shining armour but yet he was still the villain in her story, but she was also the villain. Maybe in her story the villains win.
