When We Were in Spring (KookU)

Chapter 5

Jiyeon had one hand on her waist as her eyebrow raised at me. Beside her is Dongmin carrying my bag in his hands.

"My gosh Jieun what happened to you?" Jiyeon said and laughed afterwards.

Jiyeon and Dongmin joined Jungkook's friend sitting outside. I made a quick glance over to Solbin and noticed that she is happily eating her ice cream beside Jungkook now.

I smiled secretly at them, she must've wanted it so bad and I think Jungkook is too soft when it comes to her. I suddenly wondered how they became friends because I noticed how Solbin is closest to Jungkook among them.

"Why does your face look like a tomato Jieun?" Jiyeon commented. I caress both my cheeks in reaction. Is my face really red right now? I looked at Dongmin for confirmation and he replied chuckling.

"Jieun, I called your Mom and she agreed that you can hang out with us at the Karaoke after class." Dongmin said as he pushed an opened snack at me. I took it and grabbed a handful of chips before giving the bag to him.

"Karaoke? Why?" I asked as I munched my food. He shrugs and points at Jiyeon.

"Taehyung invited us!" She insists.

"Don't worry, Jungkook got a driver." She added that it's the best solution if we ever get scolded.

"It's already 4PM, we should go now." Taehyung suggested, standing up from his seat and getting his backpack. The others follow suit.

"Right now? Jiyeon, don't we still have one more class?" I asked. I'm starting to get nervous with this idea, I thought we would wait after class before leaving for Karaoke.

"If we want to have a good time, now's the best time." Taehyung replied and winked at me after.

I pursed my lip to say something but he just laughed at me as he started to walk towards the back gate. I looked at Jimin and was surprised that he actually likes the idea of cutting classes even when he is the president of his class.

"Hey Park Jimin, are you okay cutting classes?" I asked

"Oh come on Jieun, loosen up a little will you." Jiyeon said as she followed the others, Dongmin was also walking beside her. I couldn't even make my feet walk with them, this is my first time doing this. What if we get caught?

I noticed how most of them are not even bothered by the thought of it leads me to the conclusion that this is not the first time they did this horrible thing. I suddenly wondered, have they ever got caught?

"Don't worry Jieun, I promise we won't get caught. Let's go?" Jimin replied.

After a few more thoughts, I sigh in defeat. I sure don't like this idea but the idea of going back to class alone frightens me more.

I nod at him and start to walk after him. He then smiles and turns his back to catch up with the others. They all walk side by side as I intentionally walk behind them. Thinking that if we ever get caught, they would be the first one to get noticed and I still get the chance to run and escape.

"If it bothers you so much why did you tag along?" I jumped a bit when I heard someone from behind. I stopped and turned behind and saw Jungkook approaching me while his hand was in his pocket.

I look over my shoulder to check the others - specifically looking for Solbin. I saw her walking beside Dongmin as they talked with the others. I then look back at Jungkook in a confused way.

I thought he was already walking ahead of me just like the others.

"Were you walking behind me all along?" I asked, ignoring his statement.
