I was left speechless at what just happened. I couldn't believe that the role was just taken away from me just like that. Is that how it really works? I guess I shouldn't feel resentful after all, the role was just given to me. While others auditioned for it, I, on the other hand, got lucky because Mr. Han chose me.

But still, it didn't help me to feel any better. I wasn't given any reason for it. I also feel sorry and embarrassed for myself when my friends found out about this. They knew how happy and excited I was.

As Mr. Park briefly introduced me to the new role I was assigned, he told me to go back to my seat as the meeting will start soon. I slowly made my way back to my seat, I saw Euntak and Jungkook are both busy reading their scripts. I couldn't help but to think that Jungkook knew about this all along and he was just being vague about it.

"Hey Jieun, what did Mr. Han told you?" Euntak asked curiously, I sighed and shook my head no.

"I'll tell you guys later." was my answer. I took my seat and noticed that Jungkook was eyeing me worriedly. I assumed that he already knew what happened, considering that he is very close with Solbin.

"Hello." from the side I heard a faint and familiar voice. We all turn our heads towards Jungkook's side to greet Solbin. I kept my smile small and quickly averted my eyes from them.

"Jungkook look, Mr. Park handed me my script today." she said in a low voice but I could feel the excitement from it.

Mr. Han finally came up to the stage holding a mic and a script. He said his greetings first before proceeding to start the meeting. He confirmed that the people inside the auditorium are the final casts for the play and a few minor roles are still up for auditions.

It caught my attention since I really don't have any role for this but why am I here? The next meeting is with the production team - where I was given work.

"I'm really happy that I'm playing Mia. I heard Mr. Han was very picky throughout the audition for Mia last year." I heard her again.

"Why did you push for the role of Mia anyway? There were still minor roles available for auditions though." I heard Jungkook reply to her, loud enough for the two of us to hear.

"What?!" Euntak hissed in a low voice, she looked at me and to them and back at me again.

"She stole your role?!" she whispered. I slowly nod my head at her. I saw anger flashed in her eyes before she sighs in annoyance.

"Jieun, I'm going to tell you a very interesting story." she suddenly said. She shifted in her seat to face me, completely ignoring Mr. Han on the stage.

"Yesterday my cousin came into our house..." just as when she started, we both heard Solbin's response.

"I really think this role suits me the most. Dad also liked it so he told Mr. Park about it." she said. I saw how Euntak rolled her eyes and continued the story.

"So my cousin went to our home, then she saw the new limited shoe that my Mom pre - ordered and just got delivered yesterday and did you know what she did? She said that she loved those but didn't buy one."

"I mean, if she liked it that bad why didn't she sign up for it. I mean, isn't that just unfair, using the parents to get what you want. Anyway, my mom gave the shoes to her." She said, emphasizing some words, I can't really tell if she's just telling a story or getting mad at me by the way she talks to me.

"That's terrible." I commented.

"Oh it really is, she is such a bitch for being like that." she spat. I gasped at her words, the people sitting in front of us turned their heads at us. I smiled awkwardly and looked away. They looked at us weirdly before looking away. I'm not dumb, I noticed that she's indirectly saying those words towards Solbin.
