Because He Loved Me

Chapter 2

Thalia had known Draco Malfoy since she was born, her mother and father were close friends with the Malfoy's and also the Morningstar's. They had all gone to Hogwarts together many years ago, and became quite close. So naturally she and Luca had been close with the families as well, meaning they had been close with Draco. Thalia more than her brother seeing as they were the same age. Over the years her and Draco grew closer and closer, until they became inseparable. Draco loved Thalia more than anything in the whole universe, and would do anything to see her happy. Even if that meant not being in her life anymore, he would do it if it meant seeing her happy. Throughout their years at Hogwarts they've had their up's and their down's, as would any other duo, but they always made up and stayed together.

So there Thalia sat ,continuing to study the pale skinned boy who sat in front of her. She took in all of his features as if that very moment was the first time she had ever laid eyes upon him, she didn't realize until then exactly how much she had missed the white haired boy over the summer, " Hello Draco", Thalia said to the boy a few seconds after he acknowledged her. His eyes seemed to light up the moment she spoke his name, she knew how much he loved hearing her say it, he claims it's because she says it with all the love in her heart. Too which he was not wrong. " How was your summer Lia?" Draco asked her while he looked her up and down taking in her beauty, ' how is it possible that she got even more beautiful?' he asked himself. She smiled at him, " Relaxing, yours?" she asked him with the same smile that had been planted upon her face since she first glanced at the boy sitting across from her, "Lonely without you love", he replied giving her one of his famous smirks. Thalia got up and walked in front of him, she grabbed his hand and pulled him up out of his seat. She looked up at the boy only to be met with him looking down at her, " I missed you so much Draco", she said to him. Draco pulled the small girl into a tight hug, " I missed you to Lia", he whispered in her ear causing her to squeeze him tighter, but he didn't mind. After embracing for what felt like hours he guided her to sit back down next to him, the two sat there hand in hand until Thalia couldn't keep her eyes open any longer. She leaned into the pale boy sitting next to her and placed her head upon his shoulder, he moved his arm to be around her keeping her close to him. Draco began to softly trace circles on her arm, which only caused her to fall asleep faster. But before she faded into to darkness completely she heard him whisper, " Sleep well my love".

She woke to the sound of the train whistle blaring once again, signaling that they had safely arrived at Hogwarts." I'm sorry I didn't wake you up sooner love, you just looked so peaceful", Draco said to the young girl who was now starting to stand up and grab her trunks from the overhead compartment, " it's okay Dray, I think I needed the sleep" she replied to the boy letting out a small yawn. Draco noticed her struggling to get her trunks down from the small compartment, " here let me Lia", she stepped aside not daring to argue with the boy seeing as she was still somehow exhausted. He brought her trunks down with no problem and nodded his head towards the door indicating that he was gonna carry her luggage to the carriages, Thalia looked at Draco smiled and started making her way out of the train with Draco following close behind her with their trunks. Not even moments later they were heading towards the castle in the carriages. Thalia looked up at him, " I think I'm going to go directly to my door, I'm not really hungry and just wanna get some rest before classes in the morning", she said with another yawn. Draco glanced at her, " sounds like a plan, I'm not hungry either" he said making her smile. She always slept better with him next to her, and so did he, the past six years they had always flopped between sleeping in her dorm or in his. But no matter where they decided upon they were always together.

The pair of them made their way into the dungeons and entered the commons room. Nothing had changed from the last time Thalia stepped foot in the room, it was still as Slytherin as ever. They walked up the stairs to the girls dormitories and opened Thalias door, Draco walked inside and set his and Thalia's trunks on her dresser. He opened up his trunk and grabbed a pair of sweatpants, then made his way towards her bathroom, stepping inside, and closing the door behind him. Thalia took the gesture as a signal to change into comfier cloths, so she opened up her trunk grabbed Draco's quidditch sweatshirt he had given her during their fifth year and a pair of black shorts and began putting them on. She soon heard the bathroom door open and there stood the white haired boy, staring directly at her, " good you look so much better in my sweatshirt than I do", he breathed out, causing Thalia's face to turn bright red with embarrassment. She just smiled at the boy grabbing his hands and pulling him down to her bed, she laid her head on his chest snuggling into to him while he drew circles on her back. After a few minutes Draco began to hear Thalia's little snores telling him she had fallen asleep, he looked down at the small girl sleeping peacefully in his arms and smiled, " Goodnight Angel" he whispered before he too began drifting of into peaceful sleep.
